Actually Vertonghen, like Vermaelen... moves forward regularly. So the idea is both Vermaelen and Vert moves forward to support the attack, Koscielny moves to sweeper. Not to mention that Vert can scores free kick from quite a distance.

since it'll be quite a while before our next match, let's do the summer (sensible) wishlist thingy with our own reason for it. since bro sakaito already started it with his wishlist, i'll chip in mine

the key for our team progress next season will be

1. keeping the current team together i.e. no 1st eleven players sold like we always did every season
2. adding quality (not quantity) to the wing forward position; currently occupied by Theo, Gerv and The Ox in the first team
3. getting the additional quality in early so that the team can have full pre-season together

with the above being said, my wishlist for next summer is :

1. Robin, Theo and Alex Song (or has he signed the new contract?) to sign a new deal early in the summer.
2. get rid of the players who are eating up (a lot of) the salary quota but not really contributed much to the team i.e. Marouane, Denilson, Nik, Vela, Squillaci, Park, Almunia, Arshavin. i'm sure we can easily free up to 200k GBP / week by getting rid of them thus freeing up space to be used for number 1 and number 3.
3. Lukas Podolski
4. Gervinho move to the right WF and Theo move to the other way (yeah not really transfer wishlist but a wish nonetheless)
