Hi guys, i have counter a very serious problem. I have bought a laptop from lowyat sri computer but i discover this new laptop is f***ing shit, if 7 days oredi, am i still available to exchange a new laptop? The seller says 3 days, now i thinking want to go back to change a new or not, because basically customers have 7 days right?

My problem on this new laptop is as below:

1) A53SD-SX117, the graphic nvidia always show NVIDIA display settings are not available, You are not currently using a display attched to an NVIDIA GPU. I tried to remove both Intel and Nvidia graphic driver on Device Manager, and i reinstall the driver which i downloaded from ASUS HERE: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLan...A53SD&p=3&s=299 I did the right way right? because NVIDIA the forum i cant register, and i really despo i have such issue, the Problem is depend, when i restarted my laptop, nvidia setting is available, sometimes in the morning i on my laptop, the Nvidia settings are not avialble again, what is the problem??? see the picture, anyone knows how to fix this issue? i didnt go and exchange because im wondering, before this i need to find out what is the problem, i must have enough evidence to prove them only i go to lowyat, then i wont waste my time to go so far = 0 =. if no1 knows how to fix, then gg, i have to go and complain. The graphics card is Nvidia geforce 610m 2gb, a new model of 520m renamed to 610m

2) This is A53sd, in dxdiag, i find out the system model is K53, what the heck...or his is technical failure??? it should be A53sd.

3) There is one time, in the 3th day from the day i bought, it happens the fan noise suddenly very very loud for 5mint i dont know why, after 5mint the blue screen appear and my new laptop restarted. Anyone knows? due to graphic driver or?????? I have cooler master, x3 fans on the bottom of my laptop, is not a problem of overheat

I checked the sticker, the produce date is on 12/2011, which mean Dec 2011, 3 months ago...now i really dont know...i spent rm2.5k on this laptop, anyone here can give me some ideas? HOw to fix, or What to prove to the seller, how to say? so i can demand to change a new laptop. They told me 3 days, today is the 7th day, i really dont know how...I can still change or not? because 3 days are not enough to find out this laptop is shit seriously.

Please advice, how to fix or how to change a new laptop so they only accept the issue i stated.

why you just download the driver at the nvidia sites , from my experience its work rather than the manufacture site.

I tried nvidia site also, notebook 5 series, doesnt work it failed because wat uncompatible it says. there is no choice for 610M geforce nvidia notebook. Mind to find for me? 610M is quite new, and nvidia they didnt try properly just release, i suspect majority user of 610M having this problem. fook them

Sorry, i don mean my model is K53SD, its A53S model, but i check on Dxdiag it write my system model is K53SD, actually its A53SD model. This is the problem i want to figure out, i bought A53SD,117 latest Model. but i check dxdiag diagnostic tool it writes my system model is K53SD. K????? WTF

THANKS A LOT, I BOOMED NVIDIA FORUM, they must give me a method to solve this currentissue. what you think if i want to return my money, possible? the asus simply use a failure nvidia 610m for k53sd or a53sd(i confused), this is not my fault, i demand to get back my money right??

still fresh , still on warranty why not , sent to service center , after that do a backup driver.

What the? send to service center have to wait for a week or 2 weeks.

The problem is graphic driver 610m no compatible driver for it, the means it isnt working. What they can do? if i send to service centre, there is nothing to fix. = =

Actually i am not very familiar with Asus Notebook , in my opinion i more prefer buy on 3 Major Manufacture have along time experience on developing notebook such as ACER , HP and Dell. the problem that your face it , never encounter on those manufacture.

ya..there is no driver is suitable for 610m currently, and i realize there are a lot of ppl buying. 610M is a failure graphic

already tried, it is like...no more blue screen error then reboot (not sure bt after install so far dont have it).

The problem still exist, when i rebooted...after windows start up, the nvidia settings are not available, when i reboot, it appears again.
The average per cent it will appear or working well is 50% - 50%. Sometimes cannot detect nvidia, using Intel. Sometimes, using Nvidia the settings nvidia are available.

So how?

If i return to the seller, changed a new K53SD. what is the difference?

I go asus.com Download page, i searched A53SD and K53SD. they are two different models, the sticker on my laptop write A53S, when i buy i was told it is A53sd, why the system Model show A53...This is the only issue, , can i change back my K53SD to A53SD from the seller?

A53SD and K53SD specifications are the same. Using 610M geforce (notebook).

The problems are GRaphic drivers keep not available, and Model confused me.like i been cheated

i don't know what to say , the major problem right now the graphic driver is not available , its doest not change a bit if you change a different model with the same spec.

i guess the only option here is by change to different manufacture with the same spec but with the ATI Graphic Driver.

sure, they will if i pay extra money and im nt sure how much to add on. give me ur idea if i add some money to exchange. i agree what you say. cuz this laptop is really new, from the product date it was Dec 2011. i dun think if they give me a new , it doesnt happen

I just look up on the list of lowyat notebook price , i noticed that your notebook the only one that use 610M geforce.

nop, mine is not sx106v, 106v is what im looking for, but i was told a53sv-sx117 new model using 2nd generation 245m i5, 610M geforce, your 1 is previous model. Are you downloaded from website?? if you go to lowyat, there is no more sx106v, i wonder my laptop is a old model, they upgraded...how to check? Because there are really 2 different models, A53sd and K53sd totally different. I suspect my laptop is K53SD ( older) renew upgraded the hardware and renamed itself to A53SD, bcause system model show it is K53sd wtf

Remove Intel HD driver before you install this and disable automatic window update.. do not update any graphic driver from windows update.

Don't worry about the model name. K53 are meant for european and us market, for asia they use A53 naming. Both are actually the same model.

How you know this? The nvidia forum, there are few people complaining to the admin, the admin has no idea yet but you are able to give me a solution.

So, i just need to remove Intel driver, from Device manager location, what about the current Nvidia driver? Remove both then install this or remove only Intel then install this(v295.55 the file u suggested). TQ

Remove both.. if it fail, install the factory driver 1st and then install v295.55.

I tried the file you give. I remove, then install the 1 you give me. It seems working, but duno the problem still exist or not, i have to try few more times, if the NVIDIA settings are available everytime i start-up my winwdows, the means problem fix?

How to check the laptop can detect my NVIDIA graphic card? and when i play game it will auto use GC instead of Intel. What is the way to check my nvidia graphic card is working??

Right click on the game shortcut or executable, and select High Performance graphic for it to use Nvidia GPU.

Now i can tell the bug of the driver you suggested me. I used the driver you recommended me, the problem for my ASUS A53SD/K53SD 117 model GE force 610m, it loading for very very long until blue screen pop out but short cut icon at windows start bar is able to click and run such as Internet explorer, the desktop when i right click, it start loading until blue screen pop out.

I think this driver is not suitable for Ge force 610M notebook, this driver appears another problem which is when i start up, i right click my desktop, it loading/start lagging for very long, but Start bar, those icon i click still can open, i can open task manager, only desktop is lagging, i end process explorer.exe and new task again, it doesnt work. I think the Nvidia is not running properly.

The problem is 50%, 50% when i restart, after restart everything is fixed, means i right click i can see NVIDIA setting is there and it run properly.

For the driver ASUS.com provided 1, is having a problem cannot detect NVIDIA setting the rate is 50% can no problem, 50% got problem when i right click no NVIDIA settings i go control panel open, it says NVIDIA settings are not available.


Both driver, 1 is you suggested, another is NVIDIA website. both having problem... = =
