Hello Folks! Just sharing a recent shoot I did over the weekend. Something that I haven't shot before, so everything seems pretty new to me. Can be considered that I'm still pretty new to Photography, so would hope for constructive comments so that I can further improve myself! Thanks! bro, #7, u never help her zip properly ar? for some reason, i dont really like such distracting background, my eyes seems to be searching for something in the ruins and not towards the model, not sure if it's only me... This post has been edited by adam_lss: Mar 2 2012, 07:43 PM

I think number #6 is nice. and other pic background macam too distracting like what adam_lss said. actually I'm good with background, but I think compositional plays a factor here. ( I still new to portrait duno how to describe it) I think you should include depth of field next time. helps viewer to have a better feel of the picture. ( I duno how to say the word, using feel to type ) like this http://fotop.net/dragon_baby/Agnes_Lim2offtopic: where's the place located? This post has been edited by xCM: Mar 3 2012, 10:52 AM

where is the location? all photos r great for beginner, try improve on DOF and put the 'focus' more to the model, not the environment

I like what I see but you seems to have run out of steam editing the series especially #8 and #9. Keep it up bro, you are doing well.

QUOTE(atlantis2007 @ Mar 6 2012, 11:17 AM) where is the location? all photos r great for beginner, try improve on DOF and put the 'focus' more to the model, not the environment actually there's two techniques i learned from my tutor on portrait photography. 1) close up, tight. 2) wide angle, far away. here's an example, a pic i shot back then with ClericKilla and Riggo (Ringgo? a Leica user in the Leica thread).

The term "try improve on DOF" seems very confusing to me. What do you mean by "improving DOF? Do you want pics with shallower Depth Of Field (only model in focus/background blur) or pics with larger Depth Of Field (everything in focus)
