Looking to get this in the future. all reviews are pointing towards this being the best hotend on the market today.
Heh was looking at the JGR before, now ordered blomker's own hotend since its similar to JGR. plus its local, if it works great will continue to use it and support local business.

Btw qwikfab website doesn't list ABS anymore. hmm
*
I think Qwikfab is keeping the ABS for in-house use. I remember them having 3kg spools of ABS in their office. They are also providing 3D printing as well but I think they open the service for commercial prints.

hmm was looking on buying ABS from them. Any other recommended vendor for ABS locally or near local?

Btw, anyone has any experience on printing PLA directly on heated aluminium? I was planning on using a heatbed under an alu plate so I can use a hall effect sensor for auto bed levelling. I know I can place a glass directly above it but was just curious on the performance of PLA printing on direct alu.

i print on an MK2B heated bed (heated bed pcb + 3mm alu) and white painters tape ACE hardware brand, sticks so well sometimes the tape tears off when prying print off. Only beef i have is that after afew prints and pry's, the painters tape crumples abit and the bottom of the print has weird shapes on them.

I also tried printing straight onto bare alu bed, didn't have much luck tho.

Have you tried making a dilute solutiom of PVA glue and apply a thin coating on the bare aluminum? The painters tape adhesive is not very heat resistant and dries out when heated. Also the tape adhesive leaves a melted residue on the surface too.

Instead of painters tape, you can use kapton tape instead but it adheres well to the aluminum surface for wide tapes of a few inches.

I've tried the PVA trick but i guess my mixture wasn't thick enough cos prints were still not adhering to the print bed. the ACE brand painters tape is pretty good for me, get 5-6 prints before i replace torn parts, doesn't give me sticky problems unlike the normal masking tape.

I've tried kapton with PLA with not much luck. right now i've switch to ABS to experiment, using kapton + abs juice.

one thing i learned from buying on aliexpress is there is no such thing as last day smile.gif. prices go up and down to show that there are "discounts". just gotta wait for when they have those "discounts" which is like every few days. I bought 4 rolls one go with fedex shipping afew weeks ago, price goes down to about RM60 a roll.

This is the guy i bought from the last time, http://www.aliexpress.com/item/purple-colo...1213594189.html

price seems like ~1+ usd diff from the seller you posted.

Those guys at iMakerZone.com tested our FlashForge Dreamer with some exotic material :

ColorFabb BronzeFill - 80% Bronze + 20% PLA
Taulmann Bridge - Strength similar to Nylon. Slightly flexible
FilaFlex - Similar to NinjaFlex. Rubbery flexible material
PolyMax - High strength PLA. 8 times stronger than normal PLA

BronzeFill is great because you can actually print metal now! It becomes really smooth and shiny with some sanding and polishing.
Suitable for jewellery and model making.

Other material such as the Taulmann Bridge may find suitable applications in medical field.

Thanks to the iMakerZone guys for showing us how to take 3D Printing one step further.

I have three used 608 bearings collecting dust. They've only been in used for less than I'd say 50 hours printing time. So gimme a PM if you'd need it in a pinch.
