I’m plan to get a wardrobe in the master room, like to get advise which one should I go for
1) Full Height till ceiling –
a. Pro: Clean (can’t see dust), more space.
b. Con: Can’t move and can’t clean dust behind it

or
2) Standard Height (9 Feets)
a. Pro: Can move and clean behind included spray to prevent termite eat
b. Con: less space (1 feet), most dust (can be see)

What your view?

maybe you can have the best of both worlds by making a plaster ceiling to meet the height of your wardrobe.

how high is your ceiling now anyway? even 11ft you will only lose out 2 ft which you cant use anyway

in my opinion, if the ceiling is not too high, better and nicer to cover the gap between wardrobe and ceiling..it is better and nicer too if both left and right side of wardrobe also stick with the wall..

anyway, custome made wardrobe is more expensive than ready-made wardrobe..but, some of the ready-made wardrobe quality and design not bad too..

In my opinion, better go for full height wardrobe.
if your ceiling is height mayb you can do 8ft/9ft wardrobe, the rest empty space you can use ceiling or plywood to box up.
if you do custom make wardrobe but still left a gap over there, what's the point for "custom make" right? better buy a ready make at furniture shop. just my 2 cents

Get built in full height, look nicer and you can spray termite poison when the instalattion is done.
If termite comes after that, spray is only a tempoary solution, hafta treat the problem at the source.
Anyway when its time to change your wardrobe, its time do new renovation already. blush.gif

Definitely full-height for better look, more storage space and dust free.

Wardrobes look better if they are recessed and not jut out of the wall.

Full height better if cost is not an issue. Coz you can utilise more volume of your house.

In fact I planning to get a 9 feets ready make type, and the leave over space may stack with storage box.
If like this, I can move around the Wardrobe if need. If till top, I can't move any more if need too as it stay with plaster ceiling sad.gif

If mobility is your concern. Then forget about the build in type.

Move a 9ft wardrobe??? blink.gif
You'd probably have to take out a whole bunch of stuff in order to be able to move it.
Can seriously be quite heavy.

Also you risk the chance or scratching your flooring irregardless of what material its made of unless you use a cloth at the base to avoid scratches. Even in that event its not 100% full proof.

Had to help my mum move furniture around in the past and its really not that easy to move a 9ft high 4-5ft wide cupboard. \
Recommended to just make it fixed.
