actually you can. the developer themself said that the dato rented out 10 units for students. they said that the zest was not meant for hostel purposes during their marketing strategy in 2009. Now, even when the residents ask the management about some unit turn to hostel, they said that it was out of their hands because this was allowed by developer. some earlier buyers of the zest was lucky because they got the unit cheap. but for those who bought the unit for >RM350psf, they felt ripped of, cause they thought they are paying for a proper middle end apartment. Not some apartment where you need to share the facilities with students or factory workers paying RM200 rental, sharing a room. those who have experience living with these people will understand. So please, be careful when you're buying with trinity group. they are still wayyy behind compare to the other well established developer.. at the price they are selling now, i think it'll be difficult for the property to appreciate a lot. The Zest was just a lucky product. IMHO....
just wanna share with those whose buying to stay and don't want students or factory workers sharing your facilities. for those people whose investing and renting out... good luck. maybe there's potential here and you can make all the money that you want. Its us end users whose being ripped off.
