Seems the latest batch sold by element14 are made in China .. the three units just arrived today are all made in China and not UK as of the previous batches.

My order just got cancelled by element14. I was informed that they only deal with business customer now. Their sales recommend me to buy from their approved resellers i.e ThunderMatch and Fintex. Call

Anyone with similar experience?

For non-DXVA compliance media file like 720P rmvb , is Pi powerful enough to playback those files ?

Hey guys, any of ya'll successfully running a USB WiFi adapter with your RPi? Lemme know the model please and whether it's powered via built-in USB ports on RPi or external power adapter via USB hub, thanks!

I've got a spare TP-Link WL-TN821N (Version 3) but it requires to be hubbed with an external power adapter. This is because the RPi's 2X USB port can't provide sufficient juice to power the adapter up.

Planning to purchase the ASUS USB-N10 so that I can run it without requiring a powered USB hub at runs off the built-in USB ports on the RPi itself. However, it only runs @ 150Mbps... sad.gif

Lastly, there's the Belkin Wireless-N 300Mbps Micro USB Adapter that is the same as the ASUS USB-N10 but operates @ 300Mbps instead of 150Mbps. However, I can't find it in MY! vmad.gif I checked LYN/LYP/PJ's Digital Mall all to no avail.

Also, the reason I want a WiFi adapter that can run off the RPi's built in USB ports is because my RPi is completely wireless and hidden at the back of my TV.

Checked: RPi powered by USB cable from TV's USB port (so no messy power cable).
Checked: RPi outputs video/audio via short enough HDMI cable (so it's hidden).
Checked: RPi input wirelessly via Logitech K400 (mini Unifying receiver).
Unchecked: RPi streams media wirelessly from my router connected to a USB HDD or NAS (in the future), requiring WiFi adapter.

Thanks and help please! notworthy.gif

If you could link me to the file, I'll download the media (720p RMVB) and try to play it for ya and let ya know.
I've got no idea where to download RMVBs from (plus the quality is sweat.gif ). I prefer MKVs (720p/1080p) and then AVIs (480p/SD). brows.gif

I've setup RPi with OpenRemote, a home automation solution with free mobile apps for iOS / Android with online designer...

I think they cannot handle the number of consumer transactions/requests/support calls ordering the RPi and disrupt their normal operations that usually handle biz users or few electronic hobbyists..
