if i were to write a program onto the sd card mounted onto the board,is there any other way besides using linux gcc and make function to communicate with the device?

any1 know sensor to detect jerebu ? if got, can it interface with rpi?

I am thinking of making a box that can look out the window of my condo to the street, use a camera to take video or photos, use OpenCV software to recognise which vehicles coming down the street are buses are RapidKL (they have red roofs) and develop a web timetable of actual bus movements, at least for the 1 bus line that goes past my place. I have already been on the bus and got a log of the bus route.

Seems Malaysia is lacking integrated transport information - I couldn't find a nice Google Maps or Google Earth route for all the RapidKL transport, nor real time information - if I can make something cheap enough then it could be crowd-sourced.

haha,i went jalan pasar to customise two rasp pi gpio cable another day,cost me more than 15 bucks. each header of the ribbon cable is 2.50,cable per meter is 3 bucks..
well,u have to strip off the flex cable into individual strands to solder like that

or from raspberry Pi SD card to external HDD, then play at PC
=> this one quite mafan since not sure whether the Pi can support external USB drive considering power issue. and I don't have a powered USB hub built yet
