QUOTE(ZoidbergFry @ Jun 6 2013, 03:12 PM) if i were to write a program onto the sd card mounted onto the board,is there any other way besides using linux gcc and make function to communicate with the device? NO, you can directly program the RPi without linux http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/projects/raspberrypi/tutorials/os/

QUOTE(yeop @ Jun 24 2013, 06:53 PM) any1 know sensor to detect jerebu ? if got, can it interface with rpi? The API is an average per day or average per hour index... that why we only hv updates at 7am, 11am and 5pm Four of the index's pollutant components (i.e., carbon monoxide, ozone, nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide) are reported in ppmv but PM10 particulate matter is reported in μg/m3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Pollution_Index

QUOTE(Gwiyomiz @ Jul 11 2013, 08:17 AM) used for testing, left it there overnight,2nd morning the board no response It could hv been the polyfuse burn/reset and takes 1-2 days to recover, test the point A & B for voltages and resistor values using a multimeter... See here http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=7799

QUOTE(totally_skint @ Jul 11 2013, 10:42 PM) Where is A & B? Can't possibly have no readings at any test point. Are you sure your power adapter is working? I mean TP1/TP2 la BTW RPi camera module got stocks at E14 in SG... I've ordered one but have no idea why I needed a 5Mpix camera for... perhaps to do this :- http://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/2013/06/c...-camera-module/This post has been edited by stan001: Jul 18 2013, 12:54 AM

QUOTE(DPBaker2 @ Jul 18 2013, 12:43 PM) I am thinking of making a box that can look out the window of my condo to the street, use a camera to take video or photos, use OpenCV software to recognise which vehicles coming down the street are buses are RapidKL (they have red roofs) and develop a web timetable of actual bus movements, at least for the 1 bus line that goes past my place. I have already been on the bus and got a log of the bus route. Seems Malaysia is lacking integrated transport information - I couldn't find a nice Google Maps or Google Earth route for all the RapidKL transport, nor real time information - if I can make something cheap enough then it could be crowd-sourced. I find this is the power of open source h/w & s/w... empower people with creative ideas to think of such things by combining several ideas together... to solve a problem.... No realtime bus info... that bcos we hv world class planning and zero when I comes to implementation.... I heard RapidKL wanted to do something to sync wirelessly when they were near the bus depot...

Making time lapsed moves is so easy with Raspberry Pi & the camera module... stocks are available at e14 sg... http://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/2013/05/c...erry-pi-camera/Remember NOT to merged the images into videos in the RPi, it will be super slow... combined it using yr computer with higher processing power...

QUOTE(#aten @ Dec 30 2013, 11:15 PM) or from raspberry Pi SD card to external HDD, then play at PC => this one quite mafan since not sure whether the Pi can support external USB drive considering power issue. and I don't have a powered USB hub built yet /blog I find with the RPi, need to spend a lot more $$$ on Powered USB hub, USB wifi, casing and etc, etc ... end up also cost a lot $$$ even tho the initial product only RM111.00
