budget not a prob bro. if its really worth it, i dont mind to shell out money smile.gif thats why wanna start with mouse and mousepad ;P
hmm how about suggestion on mouse below RM300 and above Rm300. mousepad, i want smooth, and as thin as possible biggrin.gif
*
Below 300 you may look for Xai
Higher than 300 you may look for sensei
Both of them has same sensors but sensei has more customisation capabilities as well as higher CPI
Mousepad then HD's pad for hardpad, QcK for softpad..depends on your preference and size..These 2 pads has a lot of sizes

Hey guys.. I have no clue which mouse is good and whatnot.
I have yet to read up on any..
I am currently using a Razer Abyssus..

However, I'm thinking of getting a new mouse. And might try out SS.
I'm looking for a mouse that is ergonomically friendly (don't want to get carpal tunnel syndrome).. Which mouse would you recommend? Something that would make my hand stretch out unlike my current Abyssus.

When I hold the Abyssus, my hands will be tucked in and apparently.. that causes CTS.

Thanks smile.gif

EDIT:
http://steelseries.com/products/mice/steel...s-ikari-optical
http://steelseries.com/products/mice/steel...-laser#pictures

Any comments on the SS Ikari optical/laser?
*
Hmmm what game are you playing? IMO FPS gaming ikari optical seems to excel but lack of macro programmable button
Maybe you can look at Xai or the sensei

Haha thanks  brows.gif

Not a lot of macro buttons, I'm using the Abyssus now and there's only the left and right click and the scroll.
I would like maybe two just in case.

My hand isn't that big, would the Ikari be troublesome for me?

Also, is the build quality different between the Ikari Optical and Laser?
According to this review:
http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/1350/ste...ice/index5.html
Is it true? Is it worth the extra $20-$30 bucks?
Since I'm not really a FPS player, not sure if the laser will be noticeable to me.

Thanks  notworthy.gif
*
it has more CPI therefore more sensitive than the ikari optical

Yeah, I understand that.
But in terms of build quality?
I don't mind getting the Ikari optical even though it has lower CPI but it has to be as solid as the laser in terms of build quality.
If it is the same, then I'd probably get the optical.

consider a slippery mouse or a grippy mouse but with a risk of peeling rubber
slippery-ikari optical
grippy-ikari laser

but the point now is Xai is cheaper than Ikari Laser. tongue.gif
No lah, where got slippery..unless you rub lube on it la. biggrin.gif drawback is that the dried sweat residue is sometimes quite disgusting..
*
lol thats y i dont like it

QUOTE(Everdying @ May 14 2012, 02:11 PM)
even the rubber also is not grippy.
thats why SS made xai grips tongue.gif

if a mouse is nicely designed, doesnt matter rubber or plastic, can grip nicely...like the imperator tongue.gif
*
eh imperator side glossy ma...dry sweat make it very oily
but the top part wub.gif

QUOTE(andrewtho @ May 14 2012, 02:19 PM)
Oh i left out on the dried sweat part. Haha.

But the Ikari Laser's rubber is quite good what. Xai's one is even better of course. But honestly , ikari's grip is much better than the Xai's.
*
Well thats the reason why price never deducted...

*
ya...the grooves is quite nice for grip
but i dont like the way it kacao my ring finger..
reason why most logitech mices out of my list

Still dreaming of an Ikari V2. Lol! Ikari is a little old already, if they come out with a v2, should be selling well tongue.gif
*
the shape of the ikari is enough...no need bling bling to make it special
but then not many people would like the shape of the ikari due to its huge size

is Ikari a good alternative to deathadder, cause i feel da is small for me, cant fully rest palms on it, only portion resting
*
If comfort comes in first. No doubt its the ikari
Just bear in mind that the ikari optical side buttons isn't programmable via the software. And neither the polling rate. Ikari Laser can program side button.

any members here familiar with modding their ikari with carbon fibre stickers?

interested to do, but no leads to what type of sticker i should get. after checking garage sales, those stickers they advert for cars, so costly.

some direction would be great. smile.gif

I used a lighter for it. But it sucks a lot of bumps at the curves.

distributor is Play Interactive? tongue.gif

inb4 they ask you to buy from peninsula and ship all the way to sabah.

Added on May 31, 2012, 10:22 am
I dont know whether the SS distro do accept warranty claim for those products..I also wanna send in my Siberia to get it fixed.
prolly you can try go to the music section at GS and look for those people offering services to fix headphones?
*
Nope i asked d they dont do end warranty claims
Those guys at GS section only do recabling which is pretty much just what you need
but at a price of 150

hello, want to ask, is it sensei any good???? compare wif ikari laser how???
*
Nothing can beat ikari's ergonomics unless you are a left hander then different story
Functionality wise sensei is better due to high cpi count and ability to set single button and macros..
ikari only can set macros not single key

send it back to where you bought
warranty period is 1 year...
if its over then you have to get someone to repair it for you

QUOTE(Haruyuki @ Jun 3 2012, 04:36 PM)
anyone can tell me where to find replacement for the steelseries siberia earpad? those sponge one.
*
Distributor doesnt bring them in
So the best you could find one is getting someone to sell you their spoiled siberia at a cheap price
otherwise consider other headphone accesories brand
