Yo guys, just to confirm. Is paying an RM1000 booking fee part of the normal car buying process? Didn't have to do it the first time around for the 1.8CVT.

To be paid to Bioagress Sdn Bhd (Puchong Bandar Puteri Proton Edar), legit or danger?

So it isn't utterly bull? Getting a good deal from these guys, just wondering if I sould be weary of the "booking fee" (first time car buyer lol).

I suppose it depends on the SA....

I didnt pay any fee prior to getting the car.

just make sure he gives you some official receipt.

Legally is no need, but the SA just want a safety net so that when u go around gao dim ur loan, he can go ahead and order the car for you. Later you got your loan but you decide to hope to another SA, he ma GG lol.

My SA dint need me to place booking fee though. He say he trust me, he even placed the order in front of me at the showroom,which I got a confirmation in my email about the order.

Make sure you
1. Get a receipt
2. if writing cheque, write it to proton edar or eon, whichever you're getting the car from.

Well, I paid a RM200 booking deposit to lock the color. It was refunded when I collected the car.

...and how good of a 'deal' you got?
