it's no marketing la.. he doesn't sell his services or the tape...  he tried to explain it in laymen terms and letting me relate to how the tape will aid in providing pain relieve and recovery...

restrict movement, and provide support is the words that i read from the kinesio materials...

restriction and movement support is more laymen than the explanation haha..

Frankly speaking by any chance is there place or web where i can learn basic riding skills before i venture on doing long distance riding? I can even bemt my bike while cornering like the pros did. @@

I am planing to wear knee pad and elbow pad for time being while riding, think other ppl will laugh at me @@

why wear compression wear during an event eh... compression wear is for post recovery and i believe it is not useful to wear it during event...

i heard of compression wear being used to bolster upper body muscles for sports like football for performance enhancement.. but i am not sure if it works... never heard of it on the shorts or compression socks able to enhance performance during...

I guess during the event, it helps to prevent muscles and fats from jiggling around haha.. less muscle vibration could mean less fatigue??

Personally, I think Tour De France should have banned spectators with dogs..It's really dangerous and unpredictable dog is when they cross the road..

Gilbert eventually got back on his bike to resume racing and receive treatment by medical staff, but not before giving the dog owner a piece of his mind.

He added: “I wanted to hit them, but (team manager) John Lelangue managed to calm me. Afterwards I was really annoyed.

“What can you do against people who insist on standing to watch the race with a dog that size that isn’t on a lead? It’s not right. The proof is it caused an accident.”

Lelangue said shortly after the accident: “His hand has been injured a little as well as his elbow and knee. The dog was stronger than him, and it won that bout, but the important thing is that he could return to his place in the peloton.

Not sure what to do, but then I think need to relax a bit when riding.. when your body stiffen up it's become bad..

you need to lean your body sideways to get a sharp cornering.. which I still dare not coz I am not sure what's coming on the opposite side.. Also use your break wisely, no point getting extra 5km/h but getting fly over he valley..

haha... got left and right... better and more even weight distribution...

i don't think they can ban dogs... it's an average 150KM race on a daily basis... who is going to police the dogs?

the only way to take care of this is for the gendarmeries to fine the dog owners on sight of a dog or any pets for that matter or when a dog causes an accident...

that will at least scare them from bringing their pets to watch le tour...

but then again, the tour crosses lots of farms and mountain passes where people let their farm animals run wild... any farm animals can cross the road and cause a crash...

remember the 2010 tour when i think it was the col du soulor.. a herd of sheeps crossed the road during the climb... at least they were riding up not at high speed during that time and evasive maneuvers was possible...

lance started out his sporting career as a triathlete... he was like the best in his age category during his time... mid school years... then he got roped into cycling... and in short world champion at a young age, death of motorola team mate fabio casarteli, TDF stage win, cancer and comeback story...so, returning to triathlon is going back to his roots...

sketchy advise for someone still learning the ropes dude..

cornering, best to brake early and below optimum speed and coast through the corner in as relax as possible manner... no apex cutting / out-in-outs... just follow the line with least resistance... your bike will trail itself through the turn...

you sure RM3800? that's quite affordable...

but then you into competition la... titanium not suit you guys la... i don't think the frame will be as stiff as better built carbons of recent years... carbon will still always be the weapon for speed...

titanium is for old geezers who want a bit of comfort and don't mind the slight torsional flex that comes along with it...

he is a very accomplished triathlete before he began cycling... i think he would have achieved more than cycling than he would have in triathlon...

that's wat most people say at the begining... then they start to get obsessed with the finer details... then, comes the ceramic bearings, titanium nitride bolts, carbonizing every darn things that is not metal, super high profile high yaw angle wind cutting wheels...

you know the drill...
