That's why I don't bother trying to ride down from the tea house. the gradient is too steep, especially after ppl encountered smoke from their brakes
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/cateye...magnet-ec035841I guess you can check around the different bike shops asking them for it. there are spares being sold. And any magnet will do. I've been mixing magnets between cateye, topeak and sigma all this time.
You were there yesterday? did you recognise me? I should be the fattest with a white focus Bike.
I think I have to ask around for the magnets. I din even know the magnet drop out, too concentrated during the race, i know cadence was lacking but i never bother to look through it during races..

i though bukit tinggi is only 12k? but i only know 1 way up from the karak highway and i never seen the japanese village before the 2 times i went.. jus reach the T-junction and pusing balik...
smoke... that is too much... i have never seen smoke before even on repeated hard braking zones...
to be fair... even expensive pads can have very poor wet weather performance.. brake pads are always a balance between 3 things
1) pad wear / rim wear
2) performance in both stopping power and modulation
3) wet performance
pad wear and rim wear is often heading in opposite direction... where often one is good, the other one suffers....
i use Zipp Platinum Tangente on alloy rims and i can say even those don't enable me to brake late in wet conditions...
if you ride in rain a lot... i suggest you invest in a pair of wet or all weather pads... i have used koolstop pad inserts in the past quite succesfully... not exactly cheap but also not as expensive as zipp or swiss stop pads... they have dual compounds to assist in different weather conditions and a slightly thicker rear end of the pads so you don't need to toe in the pads to reduce brake squeels....
it's a very old brand but hard to find them nowadays... or at least i could not get them after i wore my last pair down...
wah.... that interests me all of a sudden
your computer brand will usually sell replacement units... worst case if not... other brand magnets should work as well... i know sigma would have quite some replacement parts made available... but might be too far for you to travel to KH Cycle to get em... better call and check up first and see if the magnet is around the same size as yours?
Garmin replacement magnet is 10USD each, not sure if it is selling in Malaysia
It's not mean for cycling i think the last 2 KM, i ended up pushing my bike up, it's faster that way haha...

Shimano as the bright side???
Tri Suit? FULL tri suit for Powerman? oh no! i dont want to spend any extra on cloths! this is borthering me!
got people run with compression tight and wear extra layer cycling bib for bike leg, and take off after cycling? my time spend for changing cycling bib can make up by cycling faster which i'm able to do so. wahahaha....
oh yeah... if im joining, i'm going to do that!
I wear tri-pants and race provided Tee shirt during my previous short duathlon.
You can do with cycling pants too, but mine looks a been to saggy and my pants keep falling off when i run. so i don wanna be caught on the camera for that..
Tri-pants main advantage is the swim part which is not too important in powerman i guess
