i heard good things about CAAD10.

btw, i'm on PRO handlebar. loving it. not as expensive as deda, but it's lightweight, and the geometry suits me perfectly. that's the most important thing. personally, i always choose alu stem/handlebar.

if can afford, why not. at least when they want to upgrade (again), they can sell their stuff cheap and affordable. makes sense?

why buy bmw, when one can get from point A to point B with waja, get stuck in traffic jam all the same.

i don't know about others. i sold my carbon frame to a friend at a really cheap price, installment summore. didn't impose a deadline since i could afford to get a new frame and i didn't need the money urgently. i just wanted my friend to be able to have a better riding experience. some of my friends do the same thing too. and some gave away their stuff for free.

would you believe me if i told you, i sold my ultegra 6600 for rm500? and for rm180, i sold these items (sora complete groupset, shimano tri carbon shoes, hand pump, cateye meter, look classic pedal, n some other small items). sold my scott speedster frame for rm200, and then sold a carbon frame which retailed at rm5.3k, for rm1.7k.

well, i'll be damned if your friends are not laughing at the back of their minds...

how we wish bike shops will do that... ahahhaha

huh? why would they laugh? the ultegra was sold to a friend who wanted to sponsor an amateur race team consisted of high school students. the bundle stuff were sold to an uncle who wanted to start cycling. the frame was sold to an old friend with middle income paycheck.

you gotta go and have a look around at various shops. but i have here polygon's price. Polygon Helios 700, 105 gruppo, carbon frame, rm5699 before discount. Helios 500, 105 gruppo, alloy frame carbon fork, rm3999 before discount. i think you can get less actually. try the shops.

maybe some sharp debris lodged in the tyre? i used maxxis tubes with michelin pro race 2, only punctured once in about 1 year +, close to two years

my friend has used his maxxis columbiere/detonator more than 1000km, no puncture yet

anybody has made the transition from shimano road groupset to sram? how do you find it? double tap shifting feels awkward?

i find that the double tap is a good thing since the shimano lever throws are super wide.. the SRAM feels way shorter in throw...  and for me, the good point to it is that, it removes the function of the brake lever from shifting duty which disrupts the pulling on top of the brake hoods...which i don't really like... the new DA9000 as reported has reduced lever throw... so, it's gonna be a good thing to see...

you can't really be half minded on downshifts though... especially the rear.. once you engage past the first click on a downshift and you suddenly decide against it.. you either can continue with the downshift... or you will proceed with an upshift... if you aren't fickle minded.. i think it's not a problem as once you click in... you have to go either up or down...

i personally like the hood shape of SRAM... positioned correctly... i think it's a nice hood shape for people who ride out of the saddle a lot... but the new 2013 red has changed the shape to be longer and angle more at the tip of the hood as people has been saying it is not long enough to accommodate big hands...

other than that.. they have easy reach adjustments compared to shimano systems which uses shims which is not as easier to adjust once you lose them...

reliability and shifting performance is arguable... depending on which camp you are supporting...
it's ok generally...jus don't plant the wheels into some big ass potholes and you'd be save...

somebody told me (a sram owner) that sram's shifter is not as durable as shimano. supposedly the internals are fragile. is it true? do you have any problem with yours? which sram do you have? red? is it also true that the red cassette which only has two splines tends to dig into the freehub body?

have you accidentally upshift when u actually wanted to downshift, or vice versa? often?
