What is the optijmum width for the handlebar? Should it be correlated to your shoulder width? my shoulder is measured at 40 cm but currently using a 42cm handlebar. Should I get 40cm instead?

exactly, boleh comfy2 under the roof of a car, still ride in the sun and rain. Boleh enjoy the cool air with a motorbike, kayuh pelan2 sampai kaki rasa nak explode on the way to Genting Sempah.
But If I ride, I will help the air be cleaner If I ride, I can wear spandex and not be ashamed If I ride, I will be stronger If I ride, I will go uphill but i will then go downhill Cilok from this youtube video It gives me so much inspiration
If I ride by peopleforbikes
run up you will be more environmental friendly..

that is the thing... having to suffer on the way up to enjoy the heavenly bliss awaiting at the top is the very enjoyment of a climb... if you can enjoy the scenery on the way up... all the better...
being able to coast down is the main inspiration for riding up or at least that's what I tell myself when struggling up Frasers

i guess it's ok to have a wider bar than getting cramped on a smaller bar... it at least opens up your chest for easier breathing...

swap with mr. jgx... cheap solution and costs you both no $$$ at all...
you can at least try it out... if it does not work out... swap it back or if you plan to change it... then it's not a problem at all.. haha

you meant, that's the lie you tell yourself???
i have 2 ways to deal with climbs... one i learned from bikeradar... the other is my own method...
i usually try to mentally tell myself it is only another xKM (as short as possible) away from the top of the climb... and i keep telling myself this shit over and over again without looking at my computer... of course, this only works on climbs that i don't frequent too often or else it doesn't work...
curse your way to the top of the climb... i think it kinda works... but it might offend some people along the way... like suddenly an unker getting mistaken that you are calling him a shitface mofo... you can mentally curse... but i think it is better to just say it out...
Added on May 8, 2012, 8:31 pmwas jus jokin bout the cursin method... don't do it... or at least don't start shouting cuss words when you are riding... if not, tanjong rambutan pigi you will...

bro, how's Frasers? got some pics to share? I plan to do the route from KKB-Frasers...do you start from KKB as well?
Yup, started from KKB. Parked at the mini stadium. about 40km distance, 1.1km elevation. pretty nice ride, for the most part its just like a longer version of genting sempah, except for the final 9km.

but if you can't hold it in your pants... let it rip and give jacky in KH Cycle a call... if their singapore branch already has it... they will ship it to KL branch for you...
else if the 8.0 or 9.0 has a price cut... that would be quite OK too... since it only has 2 functions lacking... ghost race and the power estimation gauge...
actually... not too entirely sure on the .1 series... but 8 and 9, the only difference is that 9 has more waypoint logs than 8... and the 9 comes with the dock if you like to record your rides... it is a bargain in that sense as the dock itself is like 20 euros to purchase with the datacenter software...
9 if you like to record rides... 8 if you don't...
or at least i think i know my sigma products... sheeshhh... sound like sigmasport salesman again...

actually i liked the other methods as well... especially "have more sex"... i am all up for that... but well, i just don't have the other half to engage in that activity... so, the idea is out of the window... and flirting, not really what i do best which landed me in the position of not being able to have more sex in the first place...
eat chocolate.. teeth rot.... get dirty... hate getting poo on anywhere on myself... sleep more... not possible without diazepam and the likelihood of increase dependency on it... alcohol... don't drink...
maybe i should get myself drunk... so it'd be easier to flirt and then get laid... but then, it might be an all nighter and that will invalidate the sleep more rule...
WTF.... EPO / Cera / Steroids here i come... (direct solution and no fussing about)

sorry to bother again. Am looking for 700cx25 continental tires...ideally conti grand prix, anyone know of any shops in the klang valley that might offer these?
Have tried a number of shops, most carry maxxis, schwalbe and panaracer but continentals seem to be harder to find...
butthead: haha..not going to get that rox..just got my 2209mhr maah..the only thing that catched my attention is the gradient percent, cadence at the main menu with the rest of other info, and the 3 HR zones alarm..
GPS capable computer is the way to go in the future..and so I believe.
It's raining yo! luckily..got a trainer so worry no more..1 hour ride indoor any weather also can..trainer is cyclist's best friend...hehe

i told you the rox has a bit of stuff that might entice you once you start using the altimeter functions... they are partly configurable in displays and can display multiple values at once...
i cannot deny that i do look at the gradient a fair bit although the sigma gradient calculations are usually quite delayed... but it is a good thing to know when you are at places like sempah heading up gohtong jaya with those killer left hand hairpins... it disrupts your rhythm and your sense of the gradient up ahead... and you rely on the gradient sensor to tell you if you are still climbing a steep one or a flattish slope...
let's not talk more bout this.. after you might get excited and dump the 2209....

Is it advisable to put 23 front tyre and 25 back?
don't see any problems with that... i am running 23 front and 25 rear as i could not replace my punctured 25..
it could only ever so slightly disrupt the handling feel of the bike... but nothing major...

got a new heart rate strap..fast service..kudos to the lbs..now it sync in 10 secs and below as it should be...my old unit seems to be a faulty one where it's hard to get it sync..usually around > 1 minutes..until it went totally kaput.
later I go check whether my Iphone apps have gradient dispplay or not

actually gradient has no sensors in the device we use... they base it on altimeter calculations over horizontal distances covered... unless your iphone app has GPS based elevation readings... don't think so...
they do by calculating current (altimeter reading - previous altimeter reading) / horizontal distance covered...
so, say you are at 100meters now and previously 90meters after covering 100 meters of distance..
it will be (100-90) / 100 = 0.1 or 10% gradient...
gives you a rough idea of the gradient you just went pass...
What type of helmet you all use for road cycling? Am considering getting a good one in the like of a Giro, Lazer, Bell, Specialized. Appreciate your feedback and where can I get these at a good price in KL. Thanks all.
