but we do need a help from insider(yes..you yeelin) about UP COMING phone & promotion!!!

for GSM..your data speed should be able to detect either GPRS/EDGE
and for WCDMA(3G)..your data speed should be HSDPA

if you wanted to know which data network are you on
as i don't own xperia U...
it should be the same with all sony phone@android
setting > about phone > status

p/s:
as what i do is when i'm in rural area..it's better to be on GSM
and if i travel into the city..i change it to WCDMA preffered
