I need some help. I have Xperia U and i would like to know how to use the wifi. I connect it but it always states "limited connectivity". Do we like have to set setting or anything after buying it? Some of you are saying it cannot connect if it's upgraded? What does that mean and is there a way to check if it's upgraded?

hi all.... bought XP U last week with the intention of using it for 3g video call.... asked the salesman if can use vidcall, he said yes, straightly bought it (didn't do research as my earlier intention was to buy Galaxy W)....

just found out yesterday after reading this thread that it doesn't support 3g vidcall.... rm8++ lesson there.... hahaha... but nevertheless i'm satisfy with it functions and appearance...

has anyone tried to install papago  x5 or any other gps sw on it? any other recommendation for free gps sw?

i've got a good news for u all. i found replacement for the bottom caps

good. then try find xperia P bottom cap also

u re in mistake. xperia P bottom cap made with plastic & it can be remove easily. the whole body made with aluminium except that the bottom becoz the antennae is there. if antennae area also aluminium it will disturb the signal. thats the reason not many handfon made of aluminium

As far as i know only latest firmware got problem with wifi right? Anyone can help?

well mine also had prob like nordingh in the latest fimrware .162 iinm

then after a few factory reset

the wifi has been continuosly working for over 1 month already

when i put down my xpp on the floor charging while downloading, without locking the screen, the menu key acted as if it kept touch by unknown force and the menu keep appearing and disappearing. bug? the capacitive button cant be tat sensitive, and it only happened when i do heavy downloading...

b4 update the phone is snappy in everything. after update there is visible lag when switching home screen, like _ 0.5 sec lag. and not everytime animation will run smooth.
contact took 1 sec to appear
some apps also took longer to respond

went to Sony Centre. Wanted to get the Livesound headset for the phone.

Tested the unit ( apparently it was the SMARTheadset unit cos it was from the Xperia S) it worked.

however, upon opening the packaging, found out it cannot be used!!

luckily, the ppl at the store were kind enough to assist and even allow me to exchange for something else ( Xba-1).

So guys, be VERY CAREFUL!! Live headset sold in the shops are not compatible.(u will see a sony ericsson logo). it must be Smart Headset.

Wow. no sound some more! Then i have another concern here... Does Xperia P works with normal 3rd party headphone? Besides that the Ear bud in the box of Xperia P is MH750??
