my rig :
i3-2100 asrock z68 itx/ht 2x2GB 1333 WD 1TB laptop dvd samsung dvd
future upgrade :
ivy bridge i7 3770K Asrock Z68 itx/ht 2x2GB 2000 SSD 60GB WD 1TB slim blue-ray Asus EAH7970 Thermaltake grand 750W
Problem : (solved)
1. how to put all of this item into small n slim casing. 2. how to get enuff power supply for future upgrade (using alienware x51 330w AC adapter or flex psu). 3. how to connect alienware x51 330w AC adapter using DC-DC psu (what is alienware x51 DC-DC power board?). 4. how to install GC for future upgrade. (PCI riser mybe can help) 5. how to manage the heat inside this system. best airflow i can get.
this is crazy high end itx rig.

I've got the same question too. I think main problem is the case and PSU, the rest of the items are easily sourced.
