Bringing forward the drumbrake noise brotherhood.

Members with drumbrake noise problems.
This is just for a general idea how serious and widespread the problem is.

List:
1) Jflcorp FLX 1.3 Manual
2) Dares FLX SE 1.6 CVT (Both left and right replaced entire set)
3) Doodleface7 (Repaired)
4) Number92 FLX SE 6.1,opps 1.6 CVT
5) SGSuser
6) ampeh12 FLX 1.3 Manual
7) mar5690 FLX 1.3 Manual

Not sure if it is relevant anymore, so this will be the last time I'm re-posting this.

Drumbrake means hand brake sound? I have serviced my car once due to the hand break spoiled i think. The they changed it with a new one, and ever since the handbrake always give problem.. first not efficient enough (must pull finish for safety), second there is a 'nyeekkk nyeekkkk' sound... service many times ady.. tried different service centre still the same... kinda fadup with it ady...aihz..

Need to tighten the handbrake cable kot, that is just a simple fix, though. nyek nyek sound is normal if your handbrake not tight enough and your car move.

The list above is afflicted with drumbrake noise during driving, a rythmic "tak tak tak" sound that follows the car speed when the brake is pressed.

Yup, this is a must have habit for manual driver even u put N when parking, because manual can shift gear without pressing clutch. So Always check the gear stick is at N before starting engine, i think is taught during car learning lesson... wink.gif
