That bar was NOT arnd (me rber chk-ing out UR webpages) when me got my ride last year!

The UR one functions as Rear Strut/Tower Bar as well. So more obtrusive in boot.
3Max one more of juz rear cabin brace...does not attach to strut towers but only to rear seat panel IINM.

IMHO that xtra carpet-type cover is a nuisance esp cos attached to bootlid using "funny" way ie very sticky dbl-sided tape?
Makes licence plate lamps hard 2reach!
Shld hv used common method of clips or plugs?

So, Bro dares, any idea if we peel off that bootlid "carpet cover", can it be re-stuck back using ori dbl-sided tape?
Or do we hv to use NEW own replacement dbl-sided tape?

Tips abt it wld come in useful if need to replace licence plate lamps...

However, still not show on my iPhone.

Feel rust due2 corrosion by by-products of combustion eg acids.
Probable causes :
1. Poorer quality by vendor who supplied the one used in yr car;
2. Type of fuel used...any additives added?
3. Is yr catalytic converter still part of yr exhaust sys?
4. A lot of short runs...
and mayb some other reasons?

Here is my ride's exhaust tip @12 mths...to compare...

Added on March 18, 2012, 5:18 pmps. I read a suggestion in Safer Motoring mag (in my ole VW 1300 beetle days...) to spray new engine oil into exhaust mufflers/silencers & tailpipes to extend their lifespan...
Mayb I shld start now...? B4 any rust takes hold?
Most probably too late now...internal rusting cld hv started!

However, dunno if it covers RUST...unless rust can be counted as "manufacturing defect"?

ps. Feel a simple DIY remedy wld solve yr prob.
1. Juz clean away the rust.
2. Apply anti-rust coating.
2. Respray that whole section.
