Hi All,

Would like to ask normally how does an electrician charge? For an example if I want to get an opinion whether a switch can be moved from 1 site to another, will they charge for a site visit, and switch change of location?

Also, I would like to change the existing switches in my home. Should I do the painting first or proceed with the change of switches first?

Any recommendations of good electricians around PJ area?

Thanks.

Proceed with switch changing first to ensure you have good finishing, we might not know how pro is the kungfu of your electrician, just ask for a site visit and quote, no one will charge you for that.

Ideally, you remove the switches, paint the area around the switches and fix the new switches.

In practice, it is not always practical to get the electrician to come twice or get the painter to standby. So the painter has to paint around the switches after they are installed.

My husband is a certified wireman & chargeman..he's an elect. engineer as well. He can help do wiring for your house or recommend u to his friend. They do it much cheaper than contractor gonna charge u.
U want it to be cheaper..? Buy d stuff urself then ask them to install only.
Interested..? PM me.

My husband did all the wiring for our current house & he's gonna do the same for our new house rclxms.gif

P/s : Always do d painting or ceiling last smile.gif
