Need some help,

I sent my phone to samsung service center in pj,due to some problems and have receive it back few weeks ago.just now when i connect my s2 to kies,i realize that it says i cant upgrade my firmware through kies because it is not supported.

any idea why that happens?

and is there any indicator in the firmware/kernel version to know whether the phone is rooted or not? just want to know.thanks
