Hello.. I am new to mechanical keyboard, i would like to ask some pro here on how to clean the switches. Mine seems to be stuck after i accidentally drop the ashtray onto the keyboard. I there any tips or info that i need to know on how to deep clean the switch? I've already tried on the GH forums, but still i dont understand on how to do it. My english is bad and there are no pictures on how to do the cleaning.

QUOTE(JonSpark @ Apr 20 2012, 12:19 AM) ciggie ashes stuck inside the switch? ye.. i think so Added on April 20, 2012, 1:55 amQUOTE(Human10 @ Apr 20 2012, 12:29 AM) Most people will suggest clean it with solvent(water if you dare, if not some high concentration alcohol), the whole board including the switches and PCB. Just remember to let it completely dried off then only connect the circuit and it will be fine. Added on April 20, 2012, 12:37 amThough, if you got some powerful blower or compressed air, it will be easier and safer. I found a youtube video on how to open the switch using tweezer without soldering needed.. is that possible? This post has been edited by ZainRain: Apr 20 2012, 01:55 AM

I wonder whats wrong with my blue switch Filco, some of the switches feels like brown switch already. the clicky feels gone for some of button Is there any problem or is it because of how often that i use that button? Any idea how i can make it back to normal?? This post has been edited by ZainRain: Apr 30 2012, 04:36 AM

QUOTE(Human10 @ Apr 30 2012, 05:33 AM) If you mean the loss of the clicky sound, then my wild guess is some dust get into the switches. You need some compressed air or blower to flow into the switches. Compressed air? where can I find one here eh.. I know Deoxit one, but its not available in Malaysia
