Last time cyclonechuah (this thread's TS) got sell but not sure still got or not. I bought an OEM one (same design without filco words) from taobao together when I bought my keyboard bags...
*
The design are same, in some way, but I wonder why My Filco's keypuller are slight different from the one I get from TS....

The Stainless Steel wire in Leopold Keypuller are separated,
but the one on Filco's are sticking together....
I never uses the Filco's even once,
so I do not know what is the different when practicing the keypulling exercise...

The Key Tronic keyboard was the original Topre switch patent owner right?
is there still any Key Tronic Topre Switch keyboard in the market or even 2nd hand market? I found some Key Tronic in E-bay, older models, made for Dell or something,
they didn't state out the keyswitch type in the specifications....... are those worth a try?

The main usage of Topre springs are for switch actuation.
Feeling of Topre comes from the domes. Since KT and Topre domes might be quite similar, there was an argument that they are cheap Realforce.
cheap Realforce? drool.gif

I'm thinking of getting a cheap one first, to see how it feels.
Thinking of either brown switch since it has no noise feedback.
Might be using it at the office.
*
There is no need to get a cheap one first la, since the feeling are somehow different also,
and after you tried, you are going to get those expensive one eventually, and those cheap one is harder to find a buyer somehow,
so get yourself a premium one directly, and you won't be attract by any other that the spec are below it.

Go for Topre! and then no one can temp you with any other poison any more!

That's why I signed up for the testing.
Wanna see which switch fits the bill.
Only after that I'll be making my initial purchase.
*
Now that I got one that suit me best so far,
I m selling off other, and targeting a Topre if possible.

lol get from me my filco if you want, the price are pretty low T_T cry.gif
I got it just before the price go down, so My lost are your gain.

I am planning to sell off my Steelseries also, soon will make a new tread for it.

IMO, getting 2nd hand keyboard is best,
I would get one myself if there is some one selling one,
but I didn't got the chance, sadly.

they claim that blue switch are loud, for me I felt it is loud too, I think it's when bottoming out the keycaps, the key punch the steel board, or the top of the switch made most of its noises, not the clicky sound that is noisy....

Because after I type on it with O-rings even bottoming out, the key punch sound are generally gone, only the clicky sound remain, and the clicky feeling are still the same.

What do other blue switch users think? Anyone uses Blue switch with O-rings care to share their experience?

I loled real hard at that RMB1.00
*
The truth is: 10years later any topre probably cost RM300 if you sell it 2nd hand,
for the coin? 104 year ago, it is RMB1.00 only, for real. wait another 10 years, the coin cost X10.

btw the coin, of course some of the link in taobao might be exaggeration,
since the market price now is around RMB2000 to RMB3000,
but all those below RMB1000 are most likely fake.

you collect those coins or antiques?
*
I am a collector of silver coins. By my luck, I got 2 of those Chinese Dragon coins from a friend, I do not like them so much,
but Chinese in China love them, they buy so many of them made the prices raised like crazy after their market are opened up in the recent 10 years.

Therefore I plan to sell it in an auction in Singapore, probably will be around Sg$400~500 each I think,
but for that I need to travel to Singapore to send it to the auction house..... if I drive...... toll gas parking hotel .....zzzzz
even I sell 2 of them maybe I can only get 1 topre at the end. Maybe should just sell it at KL.... need to think.

It is all back down to the rarity and the demand of the market.
*
True true, rarity and demand of market.
I think there is more silver coin collector than keyboard collector
and after it come down and down again, the silver has more value than a Keyboard, right?

And if one day after Apocalypse, without energies sources like electricity etc.
you need silver(can make medicine at least) or keyboard(for?)? rclxub.gif

BTW, I believe those collector valued things by it's aesthetics, designs and so on. Also, it is not like those collectors need or will ever plug their keyboards into computer and put it to use , LOL.

gold on the switches are elector plated, thickness around 10micron which 1000 kg gives you 1 kg of gold. brows.gif

dufaq they buy keyboard and not using it. sweat.gif

but for silver coins, we really never touches it, to maintain the originality of the surface of the coins, so we never take it out of the protective plastic sleeves, not to mention to use it (to buy thing with its printed value). sweat.gif

It makes no difference whether you collect keyboards or casings.
People will look at you semacam.

Collecting coins though, I don't think anyone would have any other thoughts.

But telling people you have multiple keyboards, all few hundred ringgit, yeah, definitely will get weird looks.

I know a guy who collect Ex-girlfriend's under#e@r, how you all look at him?
