i know, but that's what happen today. didnt have time to charge it back at home, so i charge it using USB in the office.
just bought galaxy note for a week, thats why i come here (lowyat forum) to read more about this device.

i'd suggest u to use this apps
https://market.android.com/details?id=ccc71.bmw&hl=en

able to see the graphs, estimation of battery usage/charge... kinda accurate, but the mA values, dont think that its very accurate, i read somewhere before about this feature that samsung didnt support mA return value, only htc one...

galaxy note won't report it's current consumption... so the mA will always "0"  doh.gif

no... it seems like the mA indicated r just kinda estimation only, i noticed that the mA do really change but i wonder how fast the mA gets updated from this application especially in the widget, kinda slow to get the mA reading though.

do note that this battery monitor widget will be closed if using "clear memory" button from the task manager>RAM, the widget will freeze, wont get updated until u open it and close it manually using back button (not from "clear memory" button in task manager)

i thought that galaxy note battery is among the best, so it should be ok if i charge it like once in 2 days? or is it not possible at all?
*
in my opinion, it depends on ur usage, true that the g-note batt is the best in terms of capacity;2500mAh. but it is to power the ARM v7 cpu and the huge screen of g-note...

for me, i prefer to charge the phone when its under 30-20%, when the battery indicator gets yellow, just like the reply before me, li-ion is not so sensitive compared to li-po, main substance here is lithium, must have at least about 3.2v stored inside for each cell, then its still can be considered as good condition, lower than this value would be in danger where the battery arent able to be charged/damaged

this is just a theory of me researching about li-po for rc car in the past, sry for the off topics and any misleading information i've stated notworthy.gif

any of u guys using note without screen protector? i use the S Pen alot and the SP doesnt prevent scratches. i have to replace it once a while.

wondering anyone using the note without SP ?  got scratches?
*
running on mine without protector for about 2-4 weeks, minor usage in overall up until now... should be scratch resistance. i use anti-glare type cos its much smoother for my finger to swipe through the screen. maybe u can try out the XO bulk skin should be around in V7 thread. mine just normal protector

guys, what type of charger can charge our note faster..heard of using tab/iphone charger, is it true?
*
dont think there is any fast charger since usb rated amp is 1a max, 1a generated from usb charger often can get around 700-800mA, not always be a full 1A, unless u can find a usb charger provides 2-3a with thicker usb wires but not sure if the phone can withstand 2-3a since it will cause more heat

The phone pulls the amps from the charger and charger pushes voltage to the phone. That is why you will burn your equipment if you plug in a charger with the wrong VOLTAGE. The charger will supply whatever amp that is required by the phone up to the chargers max amp.

If the phone made to only draw 1A, supplying it with a 2A charger will not charge it any faster. If the phone can draw 1.5A, but comes with a factory charger 1A, then by replacing the factory charger with 2A will make it charge faster. It all depends on the phone is made to draw more amps than the factory charger.

That is why when you use a universal charger for notebook, you only need to set the Voltage but not the Amp. Same concept applies to mobile phones.

i not very sure about electronics icon_rolleyes.gif

i got experience on charging battery laugh.gif 7.2v with 4a to charge 4700mah capacity would take up to 1h 40m (nimh. should apply on lithium based as well). but charging with 4a with decent thin wire would burn the wire... this was my experience

didnt mention about voltage, but most usb provides 5v and avg amp of 1a... i really wonder how is battery is charged, is it the charger supplies the current or phone pulls it? if phone pulls from the charger, means the rated charge amp on phone would be much lower if we use the phone... no offense icon_rolleyes.gif

i think this is normal, even mine got lag as well, i believe this is common as any digital systems needs to save its current state before completely shuts off

Juz read about it 5 seconds ago and now u posted it  biggrin.gif Erm can use "Ad Free" apps to block those pesky advertisement?
*
i use it, its more like the ads inside those apps are hidden or just altered their server location to the phone's location, making the apps with ads believed theres no internet connections
