you can try blowing your Note with a hairdryer for a while, the bottom part, just in case is moisture condensation...

dun burn your phone...

I did and it works fine now...i suspect moisture condensation...maybe use hair dryer to warm up the phone a while...but dun burn the phone lah...

i noticed that sometimes my Note drains battery a bit faster, sometime less...been checking here and there...found that there is a kernel wakelock, and it is the GPS...

and i have the GPS off all the time...almost never use it...

what is activating it?

and my note had what i think is called sleep of death...wnet to sleep, cannot wake up...have to reboot...

hmmm...google...lemme check some settings...

i have been having this GPS kernel wakelock for my unrooted note, keeps draining battery maybe 20% faster than normal, makes phone warmer (around 33C compared to the normal 25C at idle)...some point to some google app, some point to facebook app...etc...so been searching for some setting in android or some app or...and i found this...

Settings > Location and Security > Remote Controls - untick (disable)

so far, the GPS kernel wakelock has not happened...only downside is that if you lose your phone, you cannot lock, track and wipe data from your phone remotely...

tomorrow i will turn the above function back on to see if the GPS wakelock happens again...

just something for those with unrooted phones and do not want to root.

i'm not using TM Net or Unifi modem/router in the office where this happens...at home yes unifi router, but i dunno if it happens at home...need to check...

anyway, i ticked back on "remote control" and not surprisingly, the GPS wakelock is back!
