Who are we?
Trident Case Is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of profoundly durable cases and solutions for the mobile electronics industry. What the heck does that really mean? Basically, we make the best rugged cases on the market for smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices.
When/where did we come from? Trident Case was founded in March of 2010 in Chino, California. Our first product (the Kraken for iPhone 4) launched later that summer. Since then, we’ve been growing rapidly. In April of 2011, we moved down the road to a larger facility, still in Chino, which has been our home ever since.
What makes us so special? We go above and beyond the status quo to ensure top-quality products and customer satisfaction. We adhere to the strictest levels of safe products (100% RoHS compliance) while staying environmentally conscious. All of our cases go through rigorous testing to ensure each customer gets a quality product. Light-duty Protection Perseus cases are the most light-duty cases we offer. These consist simply of a durable, shock-absorbing silicone sleeve which the device fits securely into and a stick-on screen protector with installation kit. Perseus cases are for the user who doesn't need a profoundly rugged case, but rather needs something to add some grip and stability to the device, while keeping it safe from scratches and debris.
Is the Perseus right for you? These cases are for casual situations when only light-duty protection is needed; perfect if you plan to keep your device indoors at home or the office. Perseus cases are also extremely easy to install and remove, so putting the case on and taking it off often is no problem. These are our slimmest cases, adding hardly any extra bulk.

Protection for an Active Lifestyle The Aegis Series offers a protection level similar to the Cyclops, but in an inverted design. Aegis cases features an inner-layer of shock-absorbing silicone with an outer-layer of hardened polycarbonate. This makes the case easier to slide in and out of pants pockets. Most of these cases also feature silicone plugs over port openings but have a stick-on type screen protector and installation kit.

Rugged Protection without the Bulk Cyclops cases are similar in construction to Kraken cases, but in a slimmer design. These cases have a polycarbonate base with a silicone outer-ring for outstanding protection against drops and other impacts. Most Cyclops cases also have a built-in screen protector, dust filters and silicone plugs over port openings. If you want protection similar to the Kraken, but want to minimize the added bulk, this is the case for you.

The combination of excellent grip, good all-round protection and an affordable price makes the Aegis a real competitor to the OtterBox Commuter, Speck CandyShell and Contour Showcase. It isn’t as bulky as the maximum protection cases, but still offer almost the same amount of protection. To me that makes it an easy recommendation, but you have to be prepared to spend some time getting it on properly
