QUOTE(colinwong89 @ Feb 22 2012, 10:28 PM) It's similar to an extra layer of thick clear coat, but dirt washes off easily, and your car paint does not oxidise over time. Head and rear lamps can be coated to prevent oxidation on the surface so it stays clear. Plastic trims can be also coated so it will stay black. RM500 for whole car? and 5 years warranty? Seems worth the money what if I want to just do the plastic trims? This post has been edited by Aeon_Clock: Feb 22 2012, 10:42 PM |

UV coating IS NOT heat rejection.
you see those Merc out there with tint and bubbles in them? That's cheap tint. If you want your brand new car to have ugly bubbles, go ahead. I suggest getting CoolWorld's S900 tint...its about RM350 only, security film and have 7 years warranty. |

I'm used to warming up my old car otherwise it will crank up during the whole journey. Now I just warm up a little because this MyVi takes 2-3 times longer to warmup before starting my journey.

QUOTE(Irbean @ Feb 25 2012, 12:14 AM) Then when the trafic light turn green, if ur in manual trans, put in gear 1 and move on and increase the gear accordingly rite? same goes to auto, you shoulds starts with [3] then when ur ride catching some speed you can change to [D4]. Theoretically you are more or less the same as manual trans, therefore you can save up your FC. switching the gearbox so often can't be good for reliability...*just my 50 sen thought. |

QUOTE(-TJF- @ Feb 25 2012, 07:27 PM) Ok ic ic..thx! =D omg...2 to brake? then drag to 6/7k?? You must be really hardcore. If any part of your car still stock, I'd be shock...I'm the type of person that always use gear 2 for braking purpose and pickup/overtaking purpose. I would also drag it until 6/7k rpm then only I change to D Currently I'm changing my ATF every 10k km, is that ok? or I just have to follow back the Perodua guide/advise by changing it every 20k km? Would the aftermarket ATF like Motul, Amsoil better than Perodua own ATF in term of the gearbox lifespan? @@ just got back from TT...very fun and weird trying to follow the 'correct' MyVi to the place but on the way back I notice two problems...some ticking noise from the left door (dunno which door) and engine quite noisy when driving 110kmph. |

definitely but not that much. Coz they're still very reliable. And the new MyVi only out less than 1 year? So you won't see much difference at this point.

QUOTE(Irbean @ Feb 27 2012, 08:12 PM) as per quote above, you will be happy man after install it. Just like me and the rest of forumer who take the deal!! Bosch wipers? I'm slowly losing trust in this brand...Added on February 27, 2012, 8:12 pm what brand is it? what bout Bosch brands? for various reasons with my old car. Their wipers are the weirdest...their normal wiper can be more expensive than silicon with lifetime warranty...and I don't think theirs will last as long as silicon. |

I believe its the power window wires knocking on the door while driving.Noticed the engine a bit noisy too...not sure if this is normal. |

QUOTE(matmoto5125 @ Feb 28 2012, 03:02 PM) The only annoying sound I faced here is the krik krik behind the meter cluster. When I'm mad at it, cursing in my heart, drive a bit aggressive, then the sound disappear lol. And my ride turns very quiet (I seldom turn on the radio). sounds like a wife making noise at you for parking her under the sun But when park it under direct sunlight, it appears again, and me cursing again. Then it got quiet again. And the cycle continues....... |
