hi guy... may i ask how do you choose badminton string?
from my limited knowledge looking at whats available at the shop... there are those which makes louder sounds, and those which provides more power... |

QUOTE(happyice @ Nov 26 2014, 02:51 PM) larger sound <> larger power.. it's just an effect.. no use i think BG66 and 65 easily found on market... perpahs i will try a BG66 and get it strung at 21-22pounds? will it break easily at that tension?there are few types, mainly is on the thickness. Usually more thin, more power, but easier to break. like BG66 easier to break, BG65 thick, not so powerful, but also more durable i'm just casual player |

QUOTE(happyice @ Nov 26 2014, 03:10 PM) i think also depends on your racquet, if Yonex, then maybe 23 to 25 is ok already thanks for the reply... but wah, 24-26 consider for beginner? i cant remember mine was strung at what tension last time before the string broke... if other brand, you have to check the racquet.. If beginner /average level, not to high tension is better, maybe around 24-26 for other brand If intermediate/advanced, maybe 26-28? QUOTE(megadisc @ Nov 26 2014, 09:10 PM) yup, high tension + wrist power = lightning smash right high tension + weak wrist = tauhu shot... |

Bg66 with 24 tension on my racket, tried it and felt not much power, i know two of the problem is 1-wrist not strong enuf and 2-trouble hitting sweet spot...
any other possible problem? apart from strengthen my wrist, anything can be done, like example, to loosen the string a bit? |
