guys!

Planning to angkat a tab 7.7 in the near future. Between digi & celcom which plan should i consider? I've calculate the price would slight different for rm48 package for 12 months period. I live at shah alam, also planning to use the tab during travelling. So would also consider coverage around semenanjung. Plus, can i get any accessory from the telco for FOC?

Thx in advance for ur opinion

check if your area got good coverage or not

not sure about digi

but my area (dat. sunway, kt dmsara), using celcom is blazing fast
almost all the time HSDPA+

I've checked with the coverage. It seems that my area is under HSDPA coverage. But I asked my fellow colleagues who used Celcom BB. They said recently the speed rather slow. now I'm confused rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

thanx for the reply.. rite now i am waiting for the MNP procedure.. I am switching to digi coz my friend told me that digi having a good speed around klang valley. Then later in the day I tested my sis celcom mobile internet (MI). Dang! the speed is twice faster than digi.....in rural area.. back then she's mistakenly understood celcom BB with celcom MI. Coz the slow 1 is her BB and it is celcom. *sigh* Now regretting abit.. Anyhow, I believe there is no problem with that coz I got streamyx at home. should be ok downloading apps using wifi.

I am so xcited to get my tab 7.7 tmr.. rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

i am planning to get galaxy tab 7.7 and galaxy nexus, and to tell you the truth i have not been an android user before so this will be my first experience with droid. i have a few questions that i hope you guys can provide with the answer.

my main use of a tablet is web surfing, movie watching, a little work on the word documents and excel, citrix user as well as some photo editing. what draws me to android is actually photoshop touch and easy file transfer.

my questions:
- is photoshop touch available in android market for malaysia
- can we do app sharing? 1 app can be installed in multiple devices that i own
- can we play movies (mkv, avi with xvid, divx codecs) right out of the box. if not, what is your recommended app? from the web, it seems that mobo player is the favourite

I am sure all the droid user could say YES!! to all ur question..

Count me in the list! Proud tab 7.7 user here.. Taken digi smart plan plan. So far speed is good. Had a dilemma b4 whether to take celcom or digi plan, in the end take digi. Celcom center here in sunway dont have stock for the mean time. Contra with digi, currently 10.1 & 8.9 dont have stock.

One thing I am sure now is the detection of Digi sim is very unstable, when it is detected and not for long will get no sim detected message and tab will restart.

Using a Maxis sim, so far no issue.  I guess Digi sim issue (although same Digi sim can be detected at the demo unit at Digi centre but not at the shop demo unit) due to slight difference in size / cut/ thickness and tab is very sensitive with this?

Will try the eraser rub rub suggestion later on Digi sim and shall post an update to here.

One thing I am quite frustrated is each time a network is detected and suddenly not detected the tab asks for reboot. Grrrr.can't it just ignore and just give an error to alert me?
*
Just go to the nearest digi & ask for a replacement. Mine dont have a problem since day 1

how long does the batt of you guy's 7.7 last for if on network the whole day? mine if charged full, use since morning, then at night left around 30+%.. normal?
*
Until now my battery could last for TWO days with 3g (always on), and screen brightness set to auto. Now trying juice defender to see whether any improvement on it. Will update u guys later. But overall im very satisfied with the battery life.
My sensation XE onli last for a day++ with juice defender.

For those who have "Purchased" status in their Google Play, Follows this step to re-enable:

1. Open Google play (Market) in Chrome browser (on your desktop/laptop) and find the wanted app (best would be that you backup the app via Ttitanium backup if you can, and uninstall it)

2. 'Right-Click' on "PURCHASED and select Inspect element

3. Above the selected row you'll see [data-ispurchased="true"]

4. Change "true" to "false" and press ENTER
(Having problems with downloading another app? Change the inspect element back to "true", app should start downloading now)

5. Click PURCHASED that will open the popup to buy via Google Wallet so you can purchase the app.

or simply go to this link for a clear picture on the process:

ready stock? hmmm digi line at my home is not that great .. my wife using it.. and the best she get is E.. which by using he s2.. only notification for fb.. youtube can say sorry..

thinking of getting celcom package.. since i lost my phone (samsung s1).. but still in dilema. either want to take ipad2 (keep uisng my wife old iphone 3g) or buying this tab.. almost being poisoned with ipad esp on few application that i really need to do..

anyway.. one question.. how you feel carrying that and talking in public? using bluetoith headset?

thanks
*
In that case, i suggest u go to the the nearest celcom center and book for a tab. Yeap.. Mine is ready stock. Beside, the telco dillema is depend on ur most stayin area. I am sure the other telco should be no prob in ur area if digi line is worst. And both of them offer packages as low as rm48 per month. In term of device's price there is not much different.

I nvr had an ipad but i have an iphone and other android phone. To be honest, i love my android phone more than iphone. U can fully customize the widget. If u dont mind seeing the same boring icon widget everyday, u can take the ipad. And googling around u could find tons of reason why tab is better than ipad.

In public? I dont hv problem carrying around a 7 inch rather than 10 inch tablet. There are 1 or 2 of pant even fit with this baby. But most of the time im carrying it. I dont used blutooth as im comfortable with it.

YES - it works exactly like as phone except it is one BIG GIANT phone
*
I think this baby should get the marketing gimmick, "table? Phone?" and not galaxy note. Coz note is still a phone size in my point of view.

if me, the beauty of the screen, the battery life, smoothness of the os, quality build of the body, super slim body.etc etc already make me choose 7.7.. but like other say, if u think GT7+ is good enough, then u better don't look at 7.7..the first eyes look at the screen, i only can say beautiful colour.. but some ppl claim that it is not natural any more.. so depend how ppl like it... battery life? normal usage can last me like 2 days..this is the longest battery life which i ever used for an android device..  tongue.gif watching movie at night after off the light, really superb with super amoled screen.. better go test both device then see which one u like more before u decide.. biggrin.gif i din regret to choose 7.7 compare to other tab..cos i mostly use it to watch movie, surfing and check mail..so screen is important to me biggrin.gif
*
Agree with hico. If u think 7+ is enuff dont ever dare to look on 7.7. But of cos if u got extra bucks why dont u choose the super amoled. It' for ur own satisfaction. Make urself happy.. :-)

Guys! I've been using fonepro 5 from fonemax screen protector since my 1st day using GTab.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I bought it at One Gadget located at Sunway Pyramid which cost me RM89.00 cry.gif
The seller told me that it is the best screen protector yet for GTab 7.7 bcoz it dont block the colour as matte SP did.
The moment the storekeeper apply it on my GTab I could see the rainbow effect but the seller convince me it will faded after 2 or 3 days as the glue is cured.

user posted image

After few days the rainbow effect still there.
It did block the colour of the tab coz when i compared my friend GNote colour is more vibrant.

Anybody can recommend me any good SP? Is the normal clear type SP already enuff for our tab coz i dont want to get frustrated with the overpriced SP again.

I don't use any SP at all. I prefer screen naked. Same goes for my phones too
*
Wow.. Uncle benny, is it really ok if go for naked? beside mine is covered with book cover all the time.

QUOTE(billy_overheat @ Mar 25 2012, 11:05 PM)
it's impossible for the rainbow effect to fade. it's the structure of the SP itself that caused such thing.

therefore, take it out, either don't use or use any cheapo Clear view SP which works for me.  biggrin.gif

That's another option. Expensive doesnt mean excellent.. *sigh*

ur battery estimate? 1 or 2 days?
*
1 day and a half for heavy usage.
For medium usage can go 2 up to 2.5 day. Just set ur screen to the lowest screen brightness. This baby is already good to go even at the lowest screen brigthness.

For root user set ur profile to conservative. Thats good enough.

Cheers rclxm9.gif
