Today Low Yat Centre Court selling Tab 7.7 at RM1738 with 12-months Celcom contract (RM18 per month for 1.5GB plan (after rebates)). Quite long queue at lunch time.

RM1738 is inclusive of the RM200 up-front payment that you have to make.

Got FIFA 12 on mine.. run well.. but generally the game still buggy.. crowd cheers and commentary sound sometime disappear.. but its a great game, once they fix the bug. LOVE IT

Heard that Sen Heng chain is selling Tab 7.7 @ rm1899 but with the following sweeteners:

1. rm100 vouchers which can be utilized for the purchase

2. Members will be given additional rm15 discount plus an additional 1 year warranty. Apparently it costs less than rm15 for a one year membership

3. 6 months interest free  (no handling fee as well) credit card installments.

4. a free prepaid broadband sim card, not sure which telco.
Any forumer has purchased tab 7.7 from Sen Heng?

hey, i don't think that is a "light bleed".

mine also got that "horizontal ray of light" image in setting background, or during loading Youtube.

but, see, if u put your tab into landscape mode from portrait mode, the "horizontal ray of light" follows the screen transition into the landscape mode. so, i think it is the background image, not light bleed. to test more, if i view a completely black image on my screen, the is no "horizontal ray of light" on the screen..

i have seen light bleed on ipad and Asus tablets before. they were some constant tiny light projection from several spots on the edge of the screen, which u can see obviously in dark room.

The sim card has been activated a long time ago. I actually took it from my Celcom USB broadband. Below is the pic.

I just used it for my netbook a few weeks ago and it was still working.
Will try and see if I have other sim cards..

EDIT: I inserted the Celcom sim card into the USB thumbdrive and tested it on my netbook. No problem and I'm able to connect. So I'm not sure why my Tab can't detect the sim card..

I did insert it correctly. Below is a pic. I just followed the image displayed on the Tab.


I even tried my Digi sim card that I'm currently using for my phone but its still not detecting the sim card. Am I missing something here? Or do I need to enable wifi first? I haven't tried using wifi yet though.


Hmm really? Looks like I'll have to go to Celcom and check with them then. But even my Digi mobile sim card cant be detected...

Hey... all of a sudden it works! I'm now able to connect to 3G. Not sure what actually happened previously but yeah...it works now.    Thanks for all the help.

Does the screen get scratched easily? I'm too lazy to get a screen protector. I actually have a Samsung P3 mp3 player and the screen is so strong it wont scratch no matter what. So I'm wondering if they're using similar screens...
