Just install the USB drivers again. Or try plug into another USB port
Download KIES 2.0 drivers from HERE

I forgot to tell you guy the cook rom by sk806 comes with writable ext sd card feature, meaning now you can copy files directly onto the external sd card inside the Tab. Previously I edit the /system/etc/permissions/platform.xml to have this feature enabled
Another noticeable feature when you press power button, you get additional option to Restart and Reboot into recovery - very convenient feature
Overall the cook rom is slicker vs stock rom

Yesterday I did a test : i restore back my stock rom with all its apps and I installed the cook rom directly on top of it, it was a breeze but the reboot takes up to 6 minutes since I have a lot of apps.
However the rom developer do not recommend this and advise you do a factory reset first - the choice is up to you

Uncle benny...your tab is HK version right? I heard HK version are made in vietnam..is it true? Planning to get HK AP set as well.

One more thing...do you mine sharing the 7th and 8th number of ur tab imei number? Coz as far as i know..if its 00/ 03 / 04 it will be the best build quality from the manufacturer.

This is nonsense about the quality based on the imei number. Started by one XDA poster. Don't believe such stuffs
Yes mine is make in Vietnam and is in perfect hardware condition till now
Noted and thank you for the info. Forgot to ask..does the HK or Malaysia version has the Infrared? I saw a review in youtube and his 7.7 got the IR.

Anyone want to buy memory card? Planning to buy bundle to get cheaper price. SANDISK MOBILE ULTRA TF 16/32G

I have one extra Kingmax 16GB Class 10 MicroSD...RM70. PM me if anyone interested. Class 10 would be excellent and superfast for the Tab 7.7.

Ahh i see.....that 30mb/s is the read speed. The write speed is only like a class 6 speed. There's a review where the speed test for the ultra mobile clocked a read speed of 18mb/s and write speed of 6.6mb/s. The max read speed varies for each device.

Usually user will go for a higher write speed coz it would be noticable when you transfer a file from ur PC to ur mobile and vice versa. Higher write speed reduce the time taken to transfer a large file size. As for the read speed it's hard to see the difference in the real world i.e watching a movie or listening to a music. Well its all about user preference whether they want higher read speed or a higher write speed.

My class 10 write speed is 15.2mb/s while the read speed is 18.2mb/s..

wao. Means Kingmax cards better? Sandisk Mobile Ultra more expensive than Kingmax. Around 20%.
*
Doesn't matter if its kingmax, sandisk, DNA, etc as long as it's class 10 it will outperform other cards with a lower class. Don't go by brand..get the cheapest as long as its class 10. Guarantee minimum write speed 10mb/s with read speed higher than the write speed.

Do we need 30mb/s read speed sd card? What i need is a rooted 7.7 with custom ROM that will make the 7.7 runs smoother and faster.... tongue.gif hehe..

please don't give wrong information here

Then... tell me why the info that i gave was wrong and could you please give us the right information with justification rather than just saying it was wrong without any justification?

For 'ME' microSDHC would be sufficient enough for Tab 7.7.....no need to go for the more expensive model/technology i.e extreme, mobile ultra, etc.

Where are you marcus20125? Where's your explanation doh.gif ? Really looking forward to read it since you're the expert and a seller of memory cards. Please share with us the "right" information whether the Tab 7.7 can support the 30mb/s read speed of that Sandisk MicroSD Mobile Ultra or not icon_question.gif ?

I only got 1 star rating with less than 10 posts and people might not believe me eventhough I "might" know the answer....i'm just a knowledgeable noob in LYN sweat.gif . You got 6 stars with 1+++ posts in LYN and people can easily believe whatever you tell them eventhough you don't have any idea what you're talking about thumbup.gif . So come on man....share your knowledge with us. It might improve/promote you LYN business as well. rclxms.gif

Cool...it works. But do you get the 30mb/s read speed? You can test it by downloading SD Tools from market and hope you can share with us the screen shot of the result smile.gif Thanks.

I think you did not change the path to the external SDcard. That is your 16GB internal storage reading.

SD Tools SUX !! Not running.  rclxub.gif

My reading on 32GB Class 10 Patriot MicroSD was Writing 300MB at 10.7MB/s and Reading 301MB at 25.06MB/s  unsure.gif

Hrmm...maybe SD Tools is not compatible with Honeycomb. Anyhow, here is my Kingmax Class 10 MicroSD tested on my Galaxy Note. Have not got the chance to test my new Patriot Class 10 on Tab 7.7 as it went for outstation with my wife laugh.gif

user posted image

Write speed: 10.7mb/s (Patriot) and 15.2mb/s (Kingmax)
Read speed: 25.06mb/s (Patriot) and 18.2mb/s (Kingmax)

Not bad for a less expensive card. Hope edifier78 can re-test and share the Sandisk mobile ultra result smile.gif

Well tried 2gb and air plane mode, cleared everything oso same 15mb write, 10mb read. And I check class 10 is 10mb so should be on par I guess. Just the write 15mb is quite surprising.
laugh.gif

Could be honeycomb problem ? I try to run a test on my wife's note.

Actually class 10 means the card will get minimum 10mb/s write speed..not read speed. In your case 15mb/s already exceeded the rated write speed rclxms.gif
