Hi, I notice that the 'Accidental Death Benefit payable' is missing from the 2020 statement. It is not stated under the Death Benefit and Surrender Value table. Is it the same for you guys too?

The accident riders or PA is not entitled for Tax Relief, this is why it is not showing in the Life Assurance Premium Statement (LAPS) as the LAPs is use solely for the tax relief purposes.

This is referring to the ILPS statement.

The 'Accidental Death Benefit payable' is shown at 2019 ILPS but missing from 2020 ILPS. Any idea why?

Check with your servicing agent. My 2020 ILPs statement is showing the Accidental Death Benefit.

Alright thanks for confirming. I have asked my agent, still awaiting his reply.

I received an SMS about signing up fir Covid19 Upgraded Plan Assistance & Post Vaccination Coverage with Pulse.

Is this free? Any drawback (hidden agenda) from signing up?

It's free, but you need to agree to share your personal data with 3rd party blush.gif

How the 3rd party use your info, for promotional / leads generation sorry I have no idea.

Anyway, like Google/FB, it is already collecting information on your surfing patterns to generate leads to its advertisers. At least we ask for your permission  rclxm9.gif

Ah okay, thanks for the info. Do you sign up for it?

T&C available within the link.

Basically if in the future too much COVID claim, Prudential will need to re-adjust the premium accordingly.

That's all.

Do you recommend opting in?

Is there any way to check what is the age coverage for our current policy, apart from contacting agent? Thank you

I asked because my ILPS statement already stated this but still received the SMS offer: Policy Expiry Age: Until 100 age next birthday

Hi, would like to ask about GL issuance in two hospitals.

I went to hospital A for consultation and paid the consultation fee myself while waiting for the GL to issue. Then the surgery is arranged next week.

Due to some reasons, I decided to switch to hospital B for surgery, could I still get GL for hospital B? I have not made any claim yet under hospital A but they said they have got the GL and they can perform the surgery already. Up till today all the fees I have paid myself.
*
Hi, do you know if the consultation fee can be claimed as well?

My perspection is I can only claim consultation fee only if we are hospitalised? Then after we are hospitalised then we can back claim the initial consultation fee?
*
I see, okay. I will ask the insurance agent about this too. Thanks.

This item can be claimed under pre-hospitalization.

Hi, need to inform Prudential about this claim before obtaining GL?

You may file for the claim after your hospitalization since you would have paid first for the consultation.

Okay, thanks for all the answers

My experience claiming for my family member

As long as your hospilisation was claimed to your policy they have the record

So after you were discharged, prepare all your receipts pre / post hospitalisation and bring to their service centre or you can ask your agent to do it

The service centre filled the form for us and submitted together with the receipts and the money received in bank account like within a month

I forgot how many days pre or post but you can get the info from your policy document

As long as the receipts dates are within the timeframe, same doctor and brief descriptions match should not have issue getting approval

Thanks bro. Totally no experience in this, so getting pieces of info here and there.
