the hard-to-press power button problem is caused by the rubber seal between the plastic button and the actual button splitting due to excessive use. problem solved by applying super glue on the button seal lol. problem solved laugh.gif

soak the phone in slighty warm water (40-50C) to dissolve any salts if you use it in sea water. normal scuba diving trick. never just soak in normal temp water.

Sorry for being such a newb, but I keep reading that after I upgrade to Froyo (from Eclaire) ill lose my ability to return to stock rom. Ill only be able to use custom rom that matches my CG version. Well that is what I understood atleast. Im on Eclair 2.59 and saw in a few guides that the best way to upgrade was to download a nand backup of the Froyo i want to upgrade to as long with its sbf, then i can preserve downgradability. However can't seem to find any nand backup of froyo, the one in XDA was uploaded in multiupload which sadly is dead. :S .... any help? am i understanding this issue wrong?
