does not support free modem? .. WTF the noob technician is talking about .. It may yr housing area dont have streamyx port , but dont support the TM free modem

the noob guy tell my dad the free modem provide bt TM do not support in my area, ask my dad buy own modem... or they wan cheat my dad modem... |

could be that 'free modem' package is only for rm88
if ur dad is subscribing the 66 package, then no free modem. the free modem here in key-el is subsidised by the reg company like gen3. if u r reg for 88 package, then definately the fella is conning u. |

All ADSL modems will be supported... Why wouldn't it support..? That tech guy doesn't qualify to be working there...

there are many "flavors" of ADSL , G.Lite , etc..Maybe the modem only supports one flavor of ADSL..It depends.... |

There is such thing. My area wont support any adsl2 ready modem. Its something has to do with the type of cables underneath. The DSLAM cant verify your modem. THe DSL light is not blinking, but you cant connect to the remote. I tried several different type of modems which is ADSL2 ready, all same result.

haha.....or u could just use that w800i of urs with GPRS.....sure more stable than streamyx speeds
But better ask the technican why cannot lah, or see if u can get a rebate on the "unsable" modem |

some brand modem doesnt work with some brand dslam, but on common sense, if tmnet want to give free modem, they must gave u a brand/model that will for the dslam u are using.
