To honest, PR1.1 is so usable plus meeFolder app, I don't find the desire to reflash my phone even when it's available via NSU, will just wait OTA this time . =D plus the Nokia 808 pureview kinda dwarfed my enthusiasm over PR 1.2 haaha

Woohoo... OTA is available.. Updating the main phone firmware then probably update the twitter and FB app.. the game app.. Probably tomorrow.

By the way, speaking of Pureview 808, I did not expect it will spark the DSLR vs The entire world debate again. Having a good compact cam and having a DSLR is not mutually exclusive. I have a DSLR but I hardly use it anyway because a) it's bulky, feels like going out for an assignment everytime I lug it out, b) when using a dSLR, I became so absorbed of getting the shots that I forgot about enjoying the occasion.

Several mySQL database down, not just Maemo.org. Yeah I am dying to go over there. I can't seem to sync my google calendar via CalDAV, deleted the account but the remaining calendar still there. Add as new account, still fail to sync. BRAHHWHGGWS

FYI, facebook and twitter notification is based on the refresh cycle you set up. So if you set up to refresh then you will get notification every 30 minutes so on and so forth. It's not push notification just to clear things up.

Did you by any chance install extraplugins for account UI? If you did, thenn those are most likely friend request for your YM or MsN account

Regardless what phone you are using, it's always interesting to get N9 as a collector's phone, I cannot imagine without N9 on my hand, it's an interesting phone. Not the best phone but definintely an interesting phone on hand hand.

Nokia havent forgotten Meego afterall...

This is what you get if Meego and Symbian make peaceful love together  brows.gif

not really, this has nothing to do with symbian at all since it is really just s40 platform, it has nothing of what symbian can do unleas you are talking about the 4x3 icon grid and drop down menu. As for MeeGo, won't really call tht MeeGo at all, it just has the reminents of Swipe UI, that's all. I would have shown more interest on this device if they did not the newws of iob lay offs, plus the departure of the VP for next billion devices, this showed that yet again more changes to go within Nokia and there is no guarantee what would happen to the asha range on the future. Stephen Elop has turned Nokia into the biggest.flip flop brand and untrustworthy investment partner.

Er.. City Lens is the Augmented reality App right? I felt it's rather gimmicky. 2D maps is much easier to read actually. For good POIs.. , please try Copilot - http://store.ovi.com/content/286776?clickSource=search&pos=1, reads map and POI from Google Maps and able to launch to Nokia Drive Straight away

well, I enjoy the extra POI from google maps and use it for navigation via offline maps of Nokia drive. Using navigation without internet is pretty limited and impossible unless you have strong database of preloaded POIs.

Anyway, still find reading 2D maps easier while on foot, gives me the overall sense of location. City lens doesn't show me exact location, just direction

Problem with nokia's POI in Malaysia, it's just doesn't do as much as google's POI. So google map is more useful in Malaysia. Though, we can help Nokia Map to expand by reporting POIs.

By the way, slightly off topic, Microsoft Surface is hot!!!

is it just me or nokia maps do have a trouble in viewing favourite in their website?

don't worry, it's them. I already wrote in to complain, they were trouble shooting with me and finally admit that it might be system glitch, though it doesn't affect every account, i create new account.and it has no.problem nor my friend has any problem with his.account, so it's best for you to write in to complain about your situation as well

Once again, will wait for OTA, lazy to reinstall apps but experience showed that sooner or later, it will require me to do reflashing, oh well fingers cross.

actually if your product code is unavailable in Navifirm, you can't flash your phone using NSU/Nokia Suite as well, must use other flashers.

Wait for reindexing process to finish if you didn't reformat. The process takes a long time depending how much "garbbage" you put inside your phone
