Hello, everyone! I'm a current HTC HD2 with Android installed.
I'm impressed with NITDROID's work on N9 and N9 can be considered as a successor to aging HD2.

I intend to buy N9 once NITDROID gets stable, so just want to ask you guys. Is N9 good and solid? Any problems?

Hope to join you guys soon.
Please advise.
Thank you.

Thank you everyone for your valuable input.

why would you come for n9 only for the nitdroid? if only for that, why not you go get an andriod phone?

The same reason why I go for HTC HD2. I love customisation.
Customisation is quite limited to native Android phones.
I must admit that I learnt a lot through customising my HD2.

If you want an android OS, best get android phone, lots and lots of choices. If you are thinking of getting n9 to get a taste of meego, then ok. What are the features which are must have for you? Apps and games are not n9 strong points.

Yes, you're right about getting an Android phone. The problem is everyone has the same Android phone with you.
I'm sure that Nokia's camera is still better than Android phones out there, plus I'm a flashaholic.

May be he like the good look of the N9? It sure looks better than SG2 or iphone4 my friends were using.

Yes, you're right. I really fell in love with new Nokia phones, but too bad, either they're on WP or Meego.

If he gets an N9 he can run 2 OS - MeeGo and Android. Why choose one when you can have both? A wise choice.

Thank you and you're right.
It's not about dual OS only. It's about world and thrill of customisation & flashing ROM.

"Buy 1 get 1 Free" concept? Truly Malaysian.. haha happy.gif

No, it's not about buy 1 free 1. I love Android, and I'll use Android only.
I've been finding a successor to my aging HD2, so I'm sure this is a good phone to replace it.

The N9 has far less problem than Lumia 800 now even after all the os upgrades. Current Lumia problems include short battery life, unable to charge when battery runs down, phone rebooting itself at random, poor audio quality, alarm refuse to ring, etc. Rest assured that the N9 is a very stable and usable phone.

Thank you.

Let me correct you there battery life of lumia have been fixed on 12070 and the Nokia N9 battery life on the latest update indeed longer mine on standby already 4 days never charge still got 60% battery left.

I want to be honest about the N9

Nokia N9 have their own problems like weak wifi and 3G performance  My friend N9 having issue with disappearing act like all his messages vanish , Average camera performance, Limited apps, laggy when updating feeds.

Nokia Lumia indeed have the problem u mention cant connect to adhoc wifi connection, battery died and cant turn on but overall it does seems to work better

Thank you for your input. I hope NITDROID can do something about it.

Well, from the start that Nokia doesn't want to adopt Android and chose WP, I already know Nokia is beginning to die. Not surprising because Nokia is quite stubborn ever since the emergence of Android and they still keep Symbian as their partner, and then Meego, etc.
