Guys..the nokia care center at 1U (near parkson) closed..now Samsung center @.@"" FUUUUU..

Its already there for few month, NCC dint really help much nowadays, is jz a time waster. Funny thing that i found out is, some of the people work in Samsung center is previously work at the same NCC which is closed down recently, sarcastic...

Since Nokia dun give a damn to customer. I also dun give a shit to Nokia too. I wish the all best for Jolla, and make sure Nokia regrets for what they done for the past few years.

In terms of hardware design, Nokia's still the best though. I blame their Stephen Elop and his new management for killing off MeeGo and Symbian. They had great engineers but Elop caused them many of them to jump ship.

This is the problem with many BIG companies nowadays, as they introduce more "levels" to look professionals, in the end they just become worst. They only see statistics, result on paper that were reported. They no longer truly understand what people wants even though it's such a simple thing, they don't get down on the field and experience themselves as a user, see back the past and think WHAT IF they do this and that.

The same goes for Windows Phone, to me, they're concentrating on ECO System, but they're going backwards on other things, forgetting WHO they are, what they are capabable of, the origins of smartphone and how it should actually work, instead of following blindly on another product just because statistics result shows it's selling well. It's the same thing happening in everywhere, people no longer appreciate and see real talent, it's all about popularity, how many views your page, videos, etc get (doesn't matter it's good or bad); back then, ads used to be creative and the team actually spend time to find each talent, group, team, but now? Just pay most of the money to a celebrity.

So what Nokia had great engineers, talent, professionals. Todays world, these people aren't really appreciated anymore. You don't have to be a good singer, multi-talent to become famous and become a billionaire unlike last time.

It does more than just calculate sunrise, sunset times it also tells you when the sky gets light enough for activities (civil dawn) or dark enough to stop activities (civil twilight). You can also track the elevation of the sun throughout the day so you know when it's too hot to go out.

Anyway here's my mini-review of the N9 vs iPhone 4 after using it for a few days.

Pros
- Design is a lot better. Attracts less dirt and smudges. My iPhone 4's glass back is a smudge magnet and it scratches easily.
- No need iTunes to add files, just use USB or Bluetooth.
- The rubber-like casing that came with the N9 is great, fits the polycarbonate colour and it doesn't seem to get smudged or dirty at all.
- AMOLED screen makes colours look vibrant, and the contrast ratio is great - blacks look a lot blacker than on the iPhone 4.
- UI is unique. I can see where Windows 8 RT got their ideas from. E.g. The swiping down to close apps.

Cons
- Built in Facebook app sucks compared to the latest iOS version.
- Web browser performance isn't as good as Safari even both use Webkit.
- Battery life is quite poor compared to my iPhone 4.

Overall though quite happy with my N9 and it has replaced my iPhone 4 as my main phone.

Oh,even now there's still people buying N9. Welcome to the club Andrew Lim. I'm actually surprised someone with Iphone 4 using N9 as main phone. Lack of apps, no official whatsapp,no instagram. Stand by battery life for n9 is good, one member managed to get his to last 50+ hours.

Active usage whole day without switching off at nite, 10 to 12 hours

If I turn on Power Saver Mode all the time with GSM enabled but no 3G, I managed to get > 24 hours with minimal usage.

But not sure if it affects the rate I get my notifications and WhatsApp messages. They seem slower?

GSM is the slower network compared to 3G. anything related to internet will be albeit slow..yeap, including WhatsApp/wazapp

Sorry, to clarify what I mean is not the speed at which the data is downloaded, but the update intervals. For example sometimes I see when I enable Power Save Mode the Wazapp seems to be Offline.

By the way any of you planning to purchase a Nokia Windows Phone as your next phone? Since the Lumia design is the closest thing to the N9's. I know the OS is very different, but at the moment all the Android ones seem a little dull to me.
