Loan FINALLY approved for my 1.8CVT, now waiting for the SA to actually find stock lol. Seems that the rumours going around that Potong was gonna discontinue building the 1.8CVT in favour of the P3-21A Hi-Line was true after all, hopefully there's still one out there for me.

Anyhows, any SC reccomended around the Shah Alam/Subang area? Preferably those which don't detect ECU mods (and reset them).

Planning to use my Inspilala stock for the first year - but I doubt I can go a month without modding anything. Bro kenny's ECU mods + auto locking is looking to be quite tantilizing right about now.

And my car isn't even delivered yet lol.

I seriously suggest u to change to 2.0CVT if u like auto.
1.8CVT is really sucks later u will regret for sure.
*
I would if I could. The 1.8 was already on the edge of my budget lol. I can live with a few less horses, the lesser accessories and the CVT.

Or does it actually suck THAT hard?

@ckk: ECU + Autolock + Struts, check.

I suck with a manual. Or rather, the car will chuck itself off a cliff lol.

Buy less panties and cheong less lah!

Lol, just did some calculations. I might just be able to afford the difference (paying 9 years wat).

Will ask the SA to recalculate later. Shame might have to wait for loan adjustment to pass - which means more waiting.

What's the insurance difference between the 1.8 and 2.0 anyway? Anybody know?

As for me here's what I think of the addons:

Autoeverything (wiper/ac/lights): I've spent some time with an Insight, and while the auto stuff fun to have (and brag about), it's not really necessary. Similarly cruise control.

GPS: Lookatoo? Do not want.

Paddle shifters: While I SUCK at driving manual, I like to keep my hands on the gear stick, so I won't need these either.

Bodykit: Planning to stick an FQ400 kit on if I ever get the money, so irrelevant. I DO like the 2.0's lip spoiler but hate the chrome strip though.

FC: The 2.0 has better FC?? Good point to consider.

Leather Seats: Now these are nice, as sure easier to clean. Though I might dump them for semi-buckets or something.

All in all, I'm interested in the 2.0, but in the end, the Insurance differences might veto my choice. Even if I can afford the monthly price diff. And the extra 50-60 bucks can fill half tank lol.

Plus I need the car by the end of the month, as I have NO CAR right now (totalled my Avanza, don't ask). So if 2.0 white/grey got stock now why not?

insurance based on insured amount, a difference of rm10000 in car price , different in insrance premium is very small.

just buy la, dont listen to these guys here.

they wanted a 4B11T but stingy to pay, so ask you to buy other car,.

just buy the one you like
*
We can always TRY to drop in the 4B11T what lol.

In the end I'm also at the edge of my budget so each cent saved will help me buy another pack of ciggies haha. Though I'll talk to my SA about it, see how it changes things if I opt for a 2.0.

10k extra coverage is around 200 extra sunway premium.

Reason for.me.stating is that he mentioned he's tight for monthly repayment mar.

For poor sods like me the rm150 a month is damn alot, that's alot of empty bottles to collect
*
Poor sods like US you mean. And yeah, in that case mati lor.

But Lookatoo with Garmin XT? Hmmm, must reconsider.

remember if 1.8 u better get white. i will swap my 2.0 ducklip bonet wit u
*
Y U NO WAN DUCKLIP?

Hard to swap? I'd like that though, but I get the chrome bar asso right? Hmm...

Well I CAN get the Mybest but unfortunately I have deep hatred towards Produa, and warm fuzzy feelings for Proton AND the Lancer (first real family car I know of when I was small was the Saga).

Which kinda makes the Inspira perfect. A little sakit no problem.

seems u r already streatching ur budget anyways..why not just go the full stretch, if u really want the 2.0 then just go for it, 9 years loan, dun tell me after 9 years u still getting paid the same amount ????

but if u only want the 1.8cvt, then go ahead,

in other words.buy what u really want........cuz u are paying for it and stuck with it for the next 5-9 years...make sure no regret...

i rather pay a little more for something i really want and love...than pay less and b miserable(pay for something u dun like...u want or not ? )
*
Point taken. The regret part is very true.

Seriously if not anything else, you guys are a riot.

Just got off the phone with my SA. He says that stock is a bit tight for the current batch of 2.0 Inspiras (supposedly) and I'll have to jump on the waiting list for one.

Which I can't, as I NEED a car by the end of the month (car's all ready for delivery next week) and I'm not really in a position where I'm free to scour all of KL's dealers for a 2.0. So a White 1.8CVT it is.

Heck, I'm used to getting pwned on the road with my Avanza anyways lol. And regret can always be settled with purchase of SOMETHING EVEN BETTER ™ if my fortunes get brighter in a few years lol.

That said, it's pretty hard to regret getting any Inspira for me right now, it's more a dream come true then ever a compromise - after secretly lusting for a Mitsu Lancer for so long.

Pirate pun piratelah.

Thanks, will try that out, just in case.

Glad I'll be joining you guys soon. I'm laughing my balls off just being in this thread.

Lol. So veli true. Funny I went to the Mitsu showroom first and the Proton one second. Could swear interior fit was exactly the same (or maybe Ploton slightly tighter lol). Was thinking "Get mitsu feel at ploton prices woohoo".

Them bashers really hve no idea.
