True if one day teh Tarik goes up to rm4 a cup then consumer consumption drops which would either force the market.price lower and companies will need to make their processes more efficient. Same goods say in Thailand where diesel is at rm3 can still be cheaper compared to Malaysia. And Thai labor cost is only slightly cheaper wherewlse their energy cost if double. U won't find Thais wasting petrol/diesel as much as us.
At the end of the day, ending the fuel subsidies will cause a massive shock to the Malaysian economy and would.require a massive shift in mindset and work processes.
