The old model seems like more precise cause it have it own drill bit holder. Which is fix permanent on the holder. And it can use on any size drill tool.

While the new 1 just clamp the drill. If bigger dril not sure can hold or not.

Jeffreylam, SATA tools not all item are lifetime warranty like bits.
Also bro how much is the torsion bits, would love to get them all as well.

Jinxxx, if you can source for cheaper SATA tools, i think its not that expensive. SATA tools, price compare to last 3 years have increase very significant already. so need to go to old shop thats have old stock. recently bought a set of SATA impact socket for rm110, whereelse other are selling rm185-220 which i think is very ridiculously expensive.

Other much more expensive tool brand like Elora and Snap on the price lagi heart attack tongue.gif

Also any one know where i can get wolfcraft products? can be in kl also.

next few week going to purchase some power tool again tongue.gif

Added on April 17, 2012, 4:29 pmBro what is your budget like??? As price can diffrentiate alot like the  Bosch Cordless Impact Drill GSB 14.4-2 Li can drill up to 10mm in masonry for rm550 or Bosch Cordless Rotary Hammer 2 Modes 36V GBH36V-Li Compact rm1.9k can drill up to 18mm holes in masonry tongue.gif

Eng_Tat, I do agree with you about not all items are covered with warranty but their lifetime warranty covers up to 85% of their products. The question I was referring to you were the flex head you have enquired. It is under lifetime warranty coverage (Of course if you are using with right application, not hammering on material ) For more information, you can visit Sata showroom at Jasakita Jln Segambut.

Regarding the torsion bit, you may pm me for details.

Cordless roatary hammer is expensive and heavier. A very light weight CORDED rotary hammer, Makita HR1830 (18 mm, 1.7 kg) is around MYR400, and lighter than the lightest cordless rotary hammer GBH18V (12mm, 18V, 1.9kg).

As I said earlier, Iit is easier using dedicated tools, example, rotary hammer for masonry drilling and impact driver for other lightweight drilling and screw driving. The most important thing is, it's cost less then any professional grade cordless drill driver.

But, different people, different preferences. smile.gif

How is makita's warranty like?

AFAIK only motor unit are warranted, all other parts like switch, battery charger, charger, casing, chuck all dont have any warrantee at all.

Ha ha ha smile.gif

IMHO, there are several "sellers" read this thread. smile.gif Please don't be shy to add something beneficial and at the same time helping us too.

It seem that I am leaning towards Makita power tools, but I reaaly welcome others to give inputs which can benefit us all together.

For corded impact driver, AFAIK, only Makita TD0101F model that I can find in Malaysian market. There is Hitachi branded corded impact driver, but I am not sure if it is available here. Other tan that, we can find several model of cordless impact driver from several brands.

If anyone has some impact driver or screwdriving experience and tips, please share it here. Remember to include model and bran too smile.gif

smile.gif

Thank you
