That just demonstrate that misuse of power tools can be very dangerous and hazardous. I hope I can show something new next week. This post has been edited by bahathir: Feb 23 2012, 10:46 AM |

QUOTE(JinXXX @ Feb 23 2012, 08:16 PM) u got steel bar ? maybe can test out those screw bits with drilling bit infront to drill into metal and screw one.. Thanks for the suggestion. That is 'self tapping screw', which creates screw thread when we driving it into a pre-drilled hole. THe drilled hole should be a bit smaller than the screw size. Normally a thread maker tool needed to make the thread, but this self tapping screw can be used without using that thool.eg those use for aluminum awning » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I hope I can find few of it in hardware shop. I don't have steel bars, but, I think it can use is to attach something to somthing in future. Thank you. |

QUOTE(weikee @ Feb 20 2012, 03:09 PM) Impact Driver actually can help you to screw in a screw faster especially in hard wood and steel. The impact drive act like a hammer hammering the screwdriver to turn the screw in. During screwing screw in hard wood, we normally face the the philips screw head worn and we need to use plier to take it out. Sometime , harder wood will make the screw head break in to two parts. If you use impact driver then really seldom have this kind of problem anymore. QUOTE(Eng_Tat @ Feb 20 2012, 08:37 PM) Just to share my new toy Bosch GDR10.8. Bosch GDR10.8V really best " screwdriver " I had. I bought it since last year July and it was my daily tools. This model is Generation Two already and this tools made in Malaysia and we should support Malaysia Product . Hahajust to share reference size between 226(nearly same size as 2470) and small impact driver It really small in size, light in weight and but once it do it job , it work like charm. But cons of this tools is it only comes with one battery. Generation One : ![]() Generation Two : ![]() QUOTE(bahathir @ Feb 24 2012, 11:04 AM) Thanks for the suggestion. Last time , we need to use drill bit to drill a hole and then just screw it .I hope I can find few of it in hardware shop. is there any chuck to convert impact driver to drill? chuck to hold the bits. i think having separate drill is better to prolong the life of equipment
