QUOTE(deShinyDevil @ Jul 8 2012, 01:07 AM) does Asus come out with Ivy laptop yet? for student range model. Came out a couple of months already. The new A, G, N and UX series are now using Ivy Bridge processors. Just look for the processors whose numbering starts with "3" like i7-3610QM.im hunting for an Asus ivy model. hope u guys can recommend me QUOTE(Syairi18 @ Jul 8 2012, 01:46 AM) hye all, i just bought asus a43sd with dos and just installed with crack win7 professional 64. what i dont get is why i dont have the recovery partition. is that because because im using crack win7? I'm guessing that the shop did a full reformat in order to install the cracked version hence wiping out the partition. Why on earth do you even need W7 Pro?QUOTE(Woon Ann @ Jul 8 2012, 04:07 AM) I'm using Asus N43J. I can't find it at any lowyat tread. It's alright, I had some hands on with it last month and I can say the case is more solid that before but it's just an upgrade over the previous A3 series. Here's a review of its big brother, the K55VM by NotebookCheck. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Asus-K...ok.77878.0.html |

Hi guys, back from a long hiatus.
I've been looking into modifying my laptop; thus far I've sorted out the problem about the loose/floppy keyboard by applying sticky tack. I'm looking at a replacement fan for the laptop, as well as a screen. Any idea what screens are going to work, and do I have to disassemble the base of the laptop to get to the screen, or just the monitor bezel? I'm looking at replacing the original CMO 1366x768 with preferably a 1600x900 one. Gaming performance is not my utmost concern; rather I find it very constricted to work within 1366x768. QUOTE(SBS888G @ Jul 15 2012, 12:20 PM) Hi guys, back from a long hiatus. You have to disassemble the base to get to the hinges and remove it so you have full access to removing the bezel. As for the screen, if I'm not mistaken, you would have to change the LCD display ribbon adapter as well if you want it to support a display greater than 1366x768. Well, depending on where you buy it as well. I got my old laptop from Sri Computers and the HDD died within the week. So I went back to them where they would have given me a new unit but since the exact model was out of stock they opened up a newer but lower end unit to burn the recovery disc to see if they could perform a system recovery. Failing that, they just send it to Asus and I got it back with a brand spanking new HDD the next week which is still running strong today.my seller simply ask me "send to Asus, it will be faster" so...help?? what help?? |

I have a feeling you can repair the keyboard yourself.
