My friend laptop U41S, when playing the window media player and browse on D drive to search some files then the player will like suddenly no sound.

Does anyone facing this problem before ? I already do a clean format and it still same and I think is some driver problem.

What have you installed lately? Any new drivers, programs etc within the day of the error?

Yes, that is due to the sound drivers. I had the same problem myself but once I uninstalled Sonic Master and the other sound driver, didn't experience that anymore.

I doubt so. It looks decent, the new design gets rid of some of the complains I have about the A3-series (i.e plasticky design). But overall, it's nothing to shout about. It's basically the A3-series with a nicer design and Ivy Bridge processors.

what about the pricing for this? range between?

I just bought Asus A45VM-VX029V yesterday (sunday) but after updating windows, blue screen appeared. Need to send it back for warranty this morning

However the spec quite okay for me in term of performance & high-end (after G series).

how much u got it for?
why u update the windows? as in windows 7 home premium u change to others is it?

Hi ! I'm new here and I have a question ! I'm using an asus n56v and I can't seem to play some of the games! I was able to enter the game but there was an error popping out!

First day with A45VM-VX029V.

The startup time was extremely slow, A45VM-VX029V, considering the spec of i7 Ivy and 4Gb 1600mhz RAM. Even after disabling all the Asus preloaded software.
Yes, the wireless console3 causes problem, I just uninstalled it.
The LCD was below average.

Damn, I should have done more survey before purchasing.

Most probably due to the slow HDD that Asus seems to like putting into their A-series. Swap with and SSD and you'll see huge improvements. For the LCD, does a recalibration help?

Install No 3 first since No 1 only driver, no apps...
After install, install No 1 from device manager...

Faster boot time, at least what I tested, but its beta driver (No 1), so might be an issue...
issue so far, no temp detected by BatteryCare/HWMonitor...
While the No 2 is just latest version for Intel HD, shouldn't be a problem...
