Well, this is still a relatively minor problem for now. It's up to you if you want to pay the RM150 for the case replacement.

I don't think case damage would count as it can be argued as user inflicted damage or from wear and tear. If it was there when you got it, then it can be considered manufacturing defect.

My Asus A53sv can go up to 90 degree without any extra cooling when the laptop started to utilize the nvidia gpu, is that normal?
Btw, thinking of upgrading my ram to 8gb (currently 4gb), here's some question I'm curious to know 1. Will upgrading RAM affects/void the warranty? 2. How to choose the RAM type (for Asus A53SV)? |

Yes, that's normal if the GPU kicks in.Btw, thinking of upgrading my ram to 8gb (currently 4gb), here's some question I'm curious to know 1. Will upgrading RAM affects/void the warranty? 2. How to choose the RAM type (for Asus A53SV)? 1. Will not void. 2. It will be using DDR3-1066 so just get back a compatible RAM brand with equal or faster clocks. Usually the same one would be best but if not, get Kingston. This post has been edited by AlexLai: May 1 2012, 01:58 AM |
