I have already created adhoc before and I was able to use it with laptops.
I have even tried connectify.
I have spent more than half a day on this and is not looking for any spoon feeding. It's just my gnex can  not detect.

I will test my laptop connection with my frnd's iphone when he comes home.

2 days back I tested the same thing with my friends laptop by using internet connection sharing and his iphone was able to detect the wifi but not my gnex.
we share laptop connection as well.

Why did u bought usb dongle just to share internet with ur phone or laptop? Did u know that our phone can be set as wifi hotspot and even usb tethering.

guys help, my power button gone haywire, it can't put my phone in sleep n lockscreen mode, worse sometimes i can't turn on my phone,already take out and put back the battery, still the same, can i claim warranty for it? help

Since u are an android user, we have the option to try other baseband to suits ur need. So why not try other baseband, maybe it can solve ur problem.

There's always solution for problems. So dont blame android

With people having problem with power button after wet SP, it really scared me off. Now waiting for XO skins from fallenangelz. Hopefully my application will not cause anything

To be safe just seal the power button, volume rocker etc with cellophane tape before you apply the wet screen protector

same thing happened to me too. After some time it got rectified. May you try to put it on rice so that the moisture is no longer there

change the mode into AP mode and not ad hoc then your phone will be able to connect?
