I only have laptop rite now, currently at my hostel university.

This may be a stupid question, I tried to Google it, but still not 100% sure. Does the Galaxy Nexus support Bluetooth File Transfer by default? Is an app required to transfer files from say, a Galaxy Nexus to a Mac/PC and vice versa?

Note: Not a Galaxy Nexus owner.

That's Wifi Direct for DLNA usage. I want file transfer like using BT to transfer file, instead it uses the Wifi interface. Much much much more faster.

Bro, I meant the peer-to-peer wifi file transfer, phone to phone.

Seems like Wifi direct on ICS is crippled.

Bro, you can try this out with S2 to S2.

They just peer like BT, don't even need to worry about wifi key. Will auto connect.

tried it with my GalNex and GalNote few versions of thread back, the result is negative. impossible to do so. can search, can identify the device, but unable to connect. i dunwan DLNA, i jz wanna pair up my devices to transfer movies or songs. and i dun think pairing for game will work too. nvr tried yet though

Doesn't work that well and Wifi Direct keeps going off by itself.

At least my SGS can connect to GNex. My GTab terus hang. lol

I think they should stole the implementation in S2, copy bulat bulat. lol.

Oh ya, gallery still doesn't have the Share ... Wifi Direct option (I thought I saw this in 4.0.1).

Tried the WiFi Direct app installed on Gnex and tried connecting GTab 10.1.

Round 1: The two fellas can see each other. Then ask them to say "Hi" to each other. They said "Hi". Then asked them to shake hands. They did. Connection success! Yay! But after shaking hands, they don't want to talk to each other. Can't do anything even if there was connection. In the app, it says my GNex is the client and I should select a file from local storage. A little above that, there is a "Launch Gallery" button. So I clicked that, Gallery launches and I select a photo. Gallery goes away and I am back at the Wifi Direct app. Nothing else happened. Nada. Zilch. Ilek. Boo!

Round 2: Again can see each other. Again said "Hi". But this time, refused to even shake hands with each again. No connection.  Boo! Thereafter, all other attempts same results.

Round Whatever: So tried switching off Wifi Direct on all devices and switching on again. Bam! My GNex self-reboot!
