appreciate u could share the formula with me.

i just bought a sub-sale double storey house with extended kitchen. However the previous owner just built the kitchen with only zink type roof. Now i'm planning to add a proper roof for the kitchen with possiblity to add second floor later.

the question is, to add the roof, can i retain the old wall and just add the roof? or should it be hacked and build new?
