Hi,
Need some advice. I plan to extend my kitchen. Size is 10ft*7ft. Beside that, want to hack the wall ( 6ft*11ft ). How much will it cost? For brick selection, is it neccasary to use red brick or can use sand brick for kitchen extension? TQ. |

Hi tomjason, Thanks for the estimation. I guess your calculation 9k is based on using red brick, is it? How about the roof tile? Is it the ceramic type? One more Qs.. Since my new house has 4bedroom, plan to convert the smallest bedroom into a bathroom, how much will it cost? Size is 9ft*10ft. Existing bathroom too small, only 5ft*6ft for each bathroom. Furthermore, bathroom 2 is just next to bathroom 1. Also plan to combined both bathroom to become one. Pls advice again. TQ... |

QUOTE(tomjason @ Sep 21 2012, 08:09 AM) hi bro, Hi tomjason,yes..the estimation based on high end material.. Ans: to convert bedroom to bathroom...around RM1500 to RM2K (plumbing, piping, sewarage).tiling RM2300..tile owner buy...the price i calculated based on full height tile to ceilling....my calcualtion based on your area total "Existing bathroom too small, only 5ft*6ft for each bathroom. Furthermore, bathroom 2 is just next to bathroom 1. Also plan to combined both bathroom to become one."... Ans: if you just want to break the wall..it is cheaper..but kurang cantik lah...if you want to remodel the bath room such as change the tiling..then the price is different. If to change the tiling (tile you buy) estimated RM1k. good luck Added on September 21, 2012, 8:11 am in that case expensive lah...better try get few quotations for you to compare... I do really need a very good luck right now. Received my first quotation. - Demolish existing brickwall and make good = 700 - Demolish existing tile at convert bathroom = 300 - Excavation for footing, ground slab & ground beam = 500 - Construct new r.c footing, beams, column, slab at grd & roof level = 4000 - Laying 115 thk brickwall c/w plastering = 3500 - Supply & install 1'x2' floor tiles (kitchen) = 6000 - Supply & install 1'x2' floor tiles (convert bathroom) = 6100 - Supply & install roof trussess & concrete tiles. - Supply & install single leaf solid door c/w frame & lockset (2nos) = 1200 - Supply & install 3 leaf push-out aluminium window for kitchen (1no) = 1000 - Supply & install exhaust fan for kitchen (1no) = 300 - Supply & install concealed ABS pipes for water tap including fittings (5nos) = 750 - Supply & install WC for bathroom (1no) = 500 - Supply & install sanitary & outlet pipes to sewer manhole (3nos) = 500 - Wiring & switch socket for powerpoint from DB (2nos) = 400 - Wiring & switch for lighting at extension part (2nos) = 160 - Painting for extension part = 2500 Question : Is the price stated reasonable?
