I'm new to this forum and renovation work. Just bought an old apartment unit ( 5 storeys - about 850 sqf plus minus ) without lift and this unit is located at 4th floor (highest). Need some serious reno works and need your advice bro tomjason on the quotation cost for the basics work. I contacted a contracter and received the following after a site visit from him;

Plaster ceiling (materials + labour + painting) = 4.50/sqf
Downlight points + wirings = 50 each
Tiling (exclude tiles) = 4.50/sqf
Windows (old wood frame removal, install aluminium frame + glass[clear] ) = 20.00/sqf
2 Bathroom 4x7 and 4.5x7( hacking of old floor and wall tiles(5 feet) and installing new ones exclude tiles, water proofing, disassembling old wash basin & toilet and installing new ones) = 1800 each bathroom
Paint job whole unit (2 layers) grills included = 1800 ( owner chooses the paint brand)
Kitchen counter top (granite) = 190/sqf
Rubbish clearance = 450

Is the workmanship cost decently quoted or expensive?
