Great tips. I'll be during my own paint job soon due to tenant moved out.

Do advise if steps below are correct.

Cement wall

Step 1
Peel off paint, scrub.

Step 2
Skim coat? As in in putting filler to fill up the gap between peeled part and un-peel part of the paint on the wall?

Step 3
Primer/Sealer/Undercoat - 1 coat

Step 4
Top Coat/Top finish - 2 coats?

Iron grille

Step 1
Sand off/Peel off rusted part

Step 2
Primer/Undercoat

Step 3
Gloss finish

Do advise, thank you very much.

hi bro,

Thank you.

For nail holes, recommend to use Selleys no more gaps or just get the filler white putty will do? Or both for better durability? Fill the gap with selleys, dry out then putty filler to even wall after scrap/peel off existing paint?
*
Hi bro,

for nail holes, Selleys no more gaps is good. If use selleys, no need white putty.

if you got budget, if you want to use selleys also can (but seldom people use selleys after scrap the paint maybe due too soft 'lembik' or due to price or due difficult to smooth the surface, you can try), but normally myself and others people just use skim coat or 'stopper' will do the purpose.

tq

The water filter also had Halal certificate from JAKIM. Read my previous post about the filter.

the water outlet i use exiting and do not want to hack tile. The hand held shower, i just the Hitachi one supplied , do not intent to buy new one right now.

All my DIYs look easy but quite challenging for me (did it during my free times) for me it take times and sweat cause i m doing alone..haha. Most challlenging for me DIY is when you want to aligned or level alone while holding the parts. Maybe for other it is easy.

How is your experience with the new Hitachi heater? Good?

I've used Pensonic. It was okay and served us faithfully 5 years before it went kaputt. I don't know how are the current models doing.

National, the on and off press place easily get stuck and rosak.

Alpha is the worst. The so called pump is so noisy that I feel like I will go deaf while bathing. It has problem by second year. Repaired for an amount and don't know why the water pressure is now significantly smaller.

I might wanna consider Hitachi.
*
hi bro,

i have used alpha before..last for 10 years already kaput..(i do not know how the quality of alpha water heater now) but now change to new panasonic as i mention in my previous post..panasonic is good.

I have also used 2 joven i70 dc inverter for 6 years already and still working good..in term of silence..Joven i-series is the best..

for Hitachi dc inverter i bought at AEON offer RM499 cheaper than joven so i give it a try..in term of pressure is same as joven and panasonic but in term of silence..Joven i-series is the winner.

Tefal steam iron very bad quality.
*
Bro, hopefully you dont simply said to make bad impression to any product unless u hv experienced that you can share. Even expensive car also sometime got manufacture defect. about this tefal steam iron , i cannot say much since just use it for few days, but have use it few day so far good. IMHO if Tefal bad quality..they dont survive here in malaysia..i dont know...but previously i hv bought 3 tefal blender for wedding gift..so far no complain from my friend. Few of my office mates also use tefal iron steam..been use for years..they say good.
